"Dead Valley..." You echo. "Seriously? Why there? Shouldn't be on school grounds?" You question.
"Fufu, all the dungeon locations are on school grounds, a powerful barrier keeps intruders from entering." He tells you. "And Death Valley lives up to it's name. No novice can reach the Tower of Knowledge because of it's location." He holds up a finger, smile still sitting on his lips. "The Archives will be nearly impossible to get to, do you really want to stake your life on it?"
You bring up your healing arm, looking at it for a moment. "It's worth dying for. If I can't get fire back then my goal will be impossible to reach... I don't like the thought of all my work going to waste." You drop your arm, meeting the glint of his sunglasses.
"How passionate, I envy whoever gets your heart." He snaps his fingers, making a map appear for you. "This is a map of the dungeon. It's the largest one we have, so you'll definitely need it." He informs you. "And the door is in the basement fufufu... But you should know, there's usually a guardian at the door. Do take care when you face him."
You nod, this'll be more dangerous than the dungeons, but at least you wouldn't have to hold back because of an audience- well, Doffy would probably be watching, but you had no intention of holding back still.
"Alright. I'll go in three days." You look at your arm again. He tilts his head before holding out a white potion to you.
"This should help you. Even if you're not a medical mage, the boost will help your healing all the same." You look at him warily and he just smiles. "It'll be a real shame if you die in a place like that."
"Thank you Doffy." You take it, hesitating since you fekt like you should thank him in some way. He leans forward, turning his cheek to you and tapping it.
"This'll do. This time." He says. You blink before giving a slight chuckle.
"You're hopeless." You murmur before kissing his cheek. He chuckles as you pull away.
"See you around." He waves you off. With that you go out, taking down the potion, feeling a smile creep to your lips.
"Three days to prepare."
You frown at the meal you had made yourself. "I want to burn you..." You whisper to it.
"... That's awfully violent..." A murmur beside you makes you blink and look over at Law.
"It looks really bad though... Dammit..." You sigh. "It's hard cooking with one arm." You glare at your recovering hand. He hums, gently picking it up and kissing the back of it. You were surprised by the gesture.
"Dont be so hard on yourself. You're healing very well." He tells you. You relax a bit at that.
"... Well it be healed by tomorrow?" You ask. This was the third day after all. He peers at you quietly.
"Perhaps.... If I say no will you still go to find the Archives?" He inquires. You pause in surprise, "It wasn't hard to guess why you wanted to heal so fast," He shrugs. "I feel like it is inevitable." You shift at that waiting for him to continue. "So I'm going with you tomorrow."
"Wh-"
"I already told you didn't I? Whatever you're training for alone, you're going to need to know how to heal, but since you don't, I'll handle that part for you." He offers a small smirk. "Especially since Death Valley is an S class dungeon."
