"Honey! We were so worried!" Your mom gushes hugging you happily.
"I've missed you so much." Your dad puts a hand on your head. "But. Why are there so many guys here...?" He inquires peering around at them. The shadows in the room seem to grow as his red eyes darken.
"They're my friends. They helped me get to Pax." You tell him. "Thats Sabo, my house leader and dragon fanatic. Law, my healing teacher- but we're still working on it. Drake, the reptile specialist mage. And Dogtooth, a future sight mage that keeps saving me from my clumsiness. They're all cool and strong.... Wish Kid had came along. He's pretty awesome too..." You scratch your cheek.
"Well. I think they're fine looking mages. Right sweetie?" Your mom places a hand on your father's shoulder. "You should be nice to ___'s new friends." She smiles at him sweetly but you can see the vines creeping from her grasp. Your father shifts at that.
"I love you..." He breathes smiling at her.
"I love you too. Now lets catch up." She looks at you happily.
"Alright, then we gotta sleep... We have man eating plants taking our place so we'll have to leave first thing in the morning..." You rub your neck.
"Hehehe! Sounds like fun!" Your mother giggles, making your father smirk.
"You two go ahead. I'll get the details later. I want to get to know your friends a bit." He rumbles. You pause, watching him before pinching his side roughly. "... Ouch." He huffs tossing you a frown.
"Dont be mean to them." You warn lowly. He blinks in surprise, leaning to peer into your eyes.
"You should leave this place soon. It's affecting your magic..." He turns your head, still peering at your eyes. "And dont worry about them. Your mom already changed my mind." He adds, releasing your chin and straightening.
"... Okay." You frown before leading your mom to another room. You sit down with her and tell her about everything that has happened. After you're done she smiles lightly.
"Im proud of you. You've gotten even stronger. And you've made strong friends... But I hope you're not getting too reckless. I know you're in a hurry to get this prophecy over with so you can live your own life... But don't risk losing your life to get there." She murmurs softly. You meet her gaze solemnly.
"I know mom... But now that I've gotten to go to school and meet all of these people... I don't want the Council to dictate their lives. So... Its not about me right now." You rub your cheek.
"Now you're seeing the big picture." She smiles, touching your hand. "I know its tough. But you can always call on us. Dont just contact us if you're about to do something that can get you killed." She adds, quirking a scolding eyebrow at you.
"Yeah... Sorry." You breathe sheepishly.
"I love you ___... Now lets go save your friends from your father. He's been restless lately. I think he's actively looking for a fight." She breathes.
"Oh I can help with that." You smile before going back to the living room. Sabo looks at you with an uneasy look on his face. Telling you that your father was trying to scare them. "Alright dad lets go spar." You push on his shoulder.
"It has been a while. Lets see how much stronger you've gotten my little dragon." He rumbles, before heading out with you. You glance back at the guys offering a smile as they curiously follow you out.
