Scintillating

Just as water droplets clash together in clouds to make lightning,
filling the sky with streaks of light and animated brilliance.
Your beauty awakens something deep within me,
stirring my heart out of its sleeping stillness.
As lightning-bugs paint a miniature illuminating starry heaven,
luciferase acting on luciferin in the presence of magnesium ions, ATP and oxygen.
I breath in your sweet sent and feel as if I'm aglow,
Your beating, thinking, living mystery I desire to know.
You draw on my power, making my heads light, flicker,
my breath catches, and my heart beats quicker.
As light passes through warm and cool air,
set-a-shimmering as it moves here and there.
The air around you shimmers, bending with the light,
my eyes are locked on your rare and wonderful sight.
Green eyes that flash like a deep crystal lake,
there's a glow about you, that no one could fake.
You reflect the light as if you're softly glimmering,
a brilliant aura that's softly stimulating.
More beautiful then the rays of a new-born-star,
shining in the beautiful-night-sea.
I can't help but be affected by your majesty,
and I can't even begin to tell you what you mean to me.
So as I stand before you, a simple flame flickering,
I can't help but smile as you walk up to me scintillating.
