Ode to Her

Oh eyes of bright starlight wide before me,
Such an ocean of fire behind the glass.
Windows to a hot heart melts mine with thee,
All my times with thee slowly seems to pass.

A soft and tender touch to mend my pain,
Woe melts like foam into the swelling sea.
A kiss as sweet as natural sugarcane,
Now entangled I'm no longer lonely.

Without you my life is dark like the night,
No moon nor stars to guide my rocky path.
Scales blind my eyes to a future with light.
My heart as a frozen tundra shan't last.

Though in your loving arms my home doth dwell,
To stay with you though the bad and the well.
