Yung inaakala kong aagaw sa akin kay Kiefer ay siya ko pang nakakatulong sa wedding preparations namin. Berna isn't much of a bad news. Masyado ko lang pinasama ang imahe niya sa isip ko.

After I humiliated myself on that night which I have dedicated on following her, I've realized that I have been watching one too many sappy romantic movies with plot twists that made me act that way. Ako ang mali. Kaya heto, I've decided to seek her help para naman makabawi ako.

Habang papalapit kasi ang big day sa buhay namin ni Kiefer, mas lalo kong kinakailangan ng makakatulong sa mga detalye ng wedding. Kung kailan ko pa kailangan ang mga taong malapit sa puso ko ay saka pa sila naging abala.

Hindi ko puwedeng asahan si Ate Aria dahil kasalukuyan niyang nililibot ang buong Visayas kasama ang boyfriend niyang Briton. Sa natanggap ko namang promotion ay tila nagkaroon ng chain reaction sa Woodbearings. Clariz got promoted as well bilang Head of the Planning Department.

Hindi na ako kumuha ng iba pang secretary dahil si Barbie na mismo ang boluntaryong lumapit para sa posisyong iyon. Leaving Kiko as the Assistant Head of the Finance Department. Kung tutuusin, all of my friends are doing well in the office, pati na rin ang relasyon namin ni Kiefer.

Medyo abala nga lang din siya sa dami ng business ventures na dumarating, idagdag pa ang binabalak na expansion ng Woodbearings.

Halos tatlong araw  na rin ang lumilipas and counting from this day, there are two weeks more before our wedding. I can't wait for that to happen.

Natatawang pinagmasdan ko si Barbie. She looks weary from all of the reports that are needed to be done. I badly want to help but she told me beforehand that she will not take any help from me.

Not because she is being conceited but because she wants to be accountable. I understand her on that. Tumayo ako upang lapitan siya.

"Barbs, relax. I don't want to see you tiring yourself. Why don't you file all the approved documents to the cabinet and take a break?" Turan ko at inayos ang ilang folders na nasa desk niya. Pagkuwan ay iniumang ko ito upang abutin niya.

Ngumiti si Barbie at inabot ang folders na hawak ko. Sabay kaming napalingon ng bumungad ang maamong mukha ni Berna sa pintuan ng opisina ko. She didn't knock. Baka hindi ko lang narinig. I raised my eyebrows, suggesting her to speak up. 

"Ate Jelai, here is the Matcha green tea latte that you have requested earlier. Sorry kung medyo natagalan, may mga inayos pa ako sa office ni Sir Kiefer eh. Workaholic po talaga ang magiging better half niyo," pabulong subalit nakangiti niyang turan.

Hindi ko na pinansin ang palagian niyang pagtawag sa akin ng ate Jelai. Siguro naging komportable na siya since I gave her the permission to address me with what she can be comfortable with.

It came off a little strange to me since I was just two years older than her. Hindi naman nagkakalayo ang edad namin.

"No problem, Berna. Salamat dito ah," I said while sipping the Matcha tea she bought.

Nakangiting tumango si Berna at akmang aalis na ng maisipan ko siyang tawagin muli. I, myself didn't know why I called her.

"Ah, is Kiefer still busy? I'd like to ask him out for lunch, sana," meekness sprung in my voice. Berna let out a wide smile and a thumbs up.

"Basta po kayo Ate Jelai, Sir Kiefer is always available. Tawagan ko lang po siya ah," she was about to get her cellphone when I stopped her again.

"A-ako na. P-para hindi ka na maabala sa ginagawa mo. Kung mauna ka sa tawag ko, just tell him that I want to eat out with him," at the back of my mind, I wonder kung bakit ako biglang nabulol sa harapan ni Berna. I'd love to give myself a slap right now.
