Chapter 4

Grace's P.O.V

"Come on, tell me!" Bre begged me in the car.

My older brother, Liam, looked back at us, "What happened?" he asked curiously.

"I don't know!" Bre exclaimed, "She makes me come wait on line with her, Blake, and Adam and tells me she has to talk to me. Only when I ask her what it's about, she tells me to wait till later!" She crossed her arms in a frustrated manor.

"Whoa, hold up a sec," Liam said, more alert now, "Who's Blake and Adam?"

I glared at Bre for mentioning their names. Liam always got overprotective with me when it came to guys. Bre just stuck her tongue out at me and shrugged.

My brother's best friend, Andre, looked back at me from the passenger seat, "Are you cheating on Jake, Grace?" he asked teasingly. His dark face creased a little when he smiled and his dark brown eyes gleamed with humor.

I rolled my eyes at him, "No, I'm not cheating on Jake." I turned towards Liam, "And there just two guys I met while waiting on line."

"How old?" Liam pressed.

Why did he have to know? "Blake is gonna be a sophomore and Adam is gonna be a senior like you guys." I said reluctantly.

I heard Liam mumble something under his breath. Andre shot me a sympathetic look and shook his head. He knows, as well as I do, that Liam was very protective over me. H*ll, Andre is just as much of a brother to me as Liam. Even he has his protective moments. I guess Liam doesn't want anyone to hurt his baby sister. Sometimes I loved it. Seeing my kick *ss brother in motion is hilarious.

Some people feel like they can step all over me, but then they meet Liam. Not only is he tall and muscular, but he's also the captain the high school's football team and very well respected by others. No one messes with me anymore because of Liam...and Andre. He's on the football team too and he's more than happy to pummel somebody into the ground for me.

But other times, like now, his protectiveness is just annoying. He's always in my business and has to make sure I'm okay.

"So what is it then?" Liam asked, interrupting my thoughts.

"Nothing," I said quickly.

Liam made a face, "There's always something when you say there is nothing."

"Nothing!" I said again shortly.

"Is it about that guy that you met?" he guessed.

"No!" I lied. Of course this was about Blake, but I couldn't tell Liam that.

"So?" Liam pushed.

I sighed, "So, it's girly stuff that you wouldn't get!" I said, irritated. Gosh, did he have to interrogate me so much?
