Chapter 17

 Grace's P.O.V.-

We went back into their house and I was amazed my its beauty.  It had lavender walls and crème-colored carpeted floors.  There was a large staircase that led to the upstairs and a balcony overlooked the room we were standing in.  This room in particular consisted of a large, comfy looking beige coach and two leather chairs that were all facing a huge plasma flat-screen television.  A small, glass coffee table lay in front of the couch and was covered with magazines such as People and Glamour.

I glanced over at Blake who looked like he had no intention of staying in this room.  I held his hand tighter as he four of them continued to lead me through the huge house.  We went down a long hallway an passed by a bathroom, a laundry room, and a large bedroom which I assumed was his mother's.

Finally, we reached the end of the hall and stopped in front of a faded brown door.  Adam opened it and I all I saw was darkness.  He flipped on a light switch which revealed a narrow stairway leading down into what I assumed was their basement.

As we descended down the stairs, I noticed an immediate temperature change and I couldn't help but shiver.  Blake noticed and gave me a small smile, "Sorry, it gets a little cold down here."

I shook my head, "I'm fine."

"Oh really?" he asked, "Then why are your arms covered with goosebumps?"

I looked down at my arms and legs to see all the tiny blond hairs on my body sticking up, leaving a trail of goosebumps down my body.  I cussed under my breath and glanced over at Blake.

Amused by my reaction, he took off his black denim jacket and handed it to me.  I shook my head and pushed it away, "I'm fine, really."

"Well, I don't want you to get frostbite down here."

            "I won't," I said with a small laugh.

He rolled his eyes at me, "Would you stop being so stubborn and take my jacket already?"

I stopped in front of him and crossed my arms.  He gave me look and suddenly, his lips were on mine.  While I stood there, stunned, he slipped the jacket around my shoulders and pulled back to look at me.  "See!" he said with a grin, "You look cute in it too!"

I just stared at him like an idiot.  I didn't know weather to be flattered by his compliment or annoyed that he out smarted me.  It also came to my attention that everyone in the room was staring at us.

Flustered, I mumbled, "Fine," and reluctantly pulled the jacket around my body.  I was overwhelmed by his sweet scent and I smiled to myself when I felt his hand cover mine.  Secretly, I was very happy to have his warm jacket around me.

We walked down the rest of the stairs and I heard the others laugh as they waited for us at the bottom.  Ears hot, I followed them into a dark room.  When the lights flickered on I was amazed at what I saw.

The room itself was dark.  It had deep purple walls that were covered with posters of guitars, and some of my favorite bands and others I've never even heard of.  The ones that stood out the most were Escape The Fate, LinkinPark, Bring Me The Horizon, and Bullet For My Valentine.  This room also contained a large flat-screen and a black micro fiber couch set.  There was yet another coffee table covered with magazines such as Spin, Rolling Stone, and Rock Sound.  Besides the television, there was a large stereo system that was flooded with CDs.  But what caught my eye the most is what lay behind all the furniture.  A good portion of the room was taken up by a series of guitars, bases, keyboards, and even a full drum set in the back.  A group of microphones, headsets, petals, headphones, and amps were to the right of the drum set.  To the left was a bunch of heavy looking recoding material that was spread out along a long table.  To my astonishment, I saw another room lay beyond the table.  It had a glass window frame in the front and a couple of microphones and chairs set up in it.  They even had their own recording room?
