Chapter 23

Grace's P.O.V.

"What's she doing here?" Jimmy sneered at me.

"The weather was bad so she had to stay over," Blake stated annoyed.

Jimmy gawked at me from the other side of the kitchen table. I chewed my pancakes slowly in my mouth to keep me from smirking at him.

He took an inhuman sized bite out of his food and I watched with humor as he tried to gag it all down. He started coughing and Ms. Collins rushed over to him, patting him on the back.

"Slow down Jimmy!" she chided, "There's plenty more pancakes if you want some."

Jimmy reached for his glass of OJ and gulped some down to clear his throat. Once he was settled, his eyes swept back over to us. "Does mom know that you two are sleeping together?"

"Jimmy," I heard Ms. Collins warn.

I saw Blake's muscles tighten, "Believe it or not, two people can sleep in the same house without having sex. Just incase you weren't sure bud," he said sarcastically.

Jimmy's eyes hardened, "Don't call me bud. And I bet she'll get sick of you before you can ever consider having sex-"

Jimmy never finished his sentence because Blake reached across the table and grabbed the collar of his shirt. He yanked the small boy closer to him, "What were you gonna say you little b*stard?"

"Blake!" I heard Ms. Collins shriek in terror.

He paid no attention to her and continued to hold his death grip on his little brother.

A little panicked, I reached out and touched one of Blake's arms. "It's fine," I soothed, "Blake, it's fine."

He glared at his brother for a few more moments and I began to think that he was even going to ignoring me. But then, I felt his muscles loosen and he breathed a sigh of defeat. He released Jimmy, who fell back into his seat, and slumped back down into his own chair.

Jimmy glared at the two of us while Ms. Collins just looked at us with sheer amazement. Or more, she looked at me with amazement. I paid no attention to both at the moment. I tried looking into Blake's eyes, but he wouldn't look at me. Those perfect green orbs of beauty were distant and regretful. But I could also tell that he was thinking.

As if on cue, Adam came stumbling downstairs and broke the silence. "What the hell happened here?" he asked sleepily.

"Blake's a little touchy on the fact that Grace will never sleep with him," Jimmy scoffed.

I glared up at him. I really couldn't take this kid. Sex doesn't always come with a relationship. Two people have to have such a chemistry of love and trust intertwined that they can feel completely comfortable with giving up one another to each other. That doesn't come within a month of dating. At least, not for me.

Adam just stared at Jimmy for a moment, and then he burst out laughing. Blake and I both glared up at him. What the hell was he laughing about?

"Jimmy," he said through laughs, "You know nothing about sex, or relationships for that matter."

I watched as Jimmy's face became beat red.

Adam continued to muse, "These two are gonna be together for a long time, and it'll happen when it happens."
