Chapter 13

Grace's P.O.V  

It was finally Friday night. Blake should be here any second. My jittery fingers quickly skimmed through notes on my guitar. I had to find something to preoccupy myself, and my guitar seemed like the best resort. I was really excited about my date, but I was also really nervous. What if something went wrong again?  

"You're going to be fine," Bre assured me, sensing my uneasiness.  

"I know," I said with a sigh, "But my mind has a brain of its own right now."  

Bre grinned at my nervousness, "You're going to have a great time, Grace! I mean, c'mon, he's perfect for you!" she exclaimed.  

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down, "I know, I just can't believe he actually likes me," I said truthfully.  

Bre laughed, "What's not to like about you?"  

I smiled at my best friend, but it vanished in an instant when I heard a loud knock on the door. My heart almost jumped out of my chest and the butterflies in my stomach increased their fluttering. I heard the front door open and voices mumbling to each other. From the sounds of it, there was more than one person at the door.  

"How you been?" That was Liam.  

"Eh, good." That sounded like Blake.  

"Hungry." It was such a blunt statement. I smiled to myself. That was definitely Adam.  

I heard a couple of laughs followed by, "What's up Adam?" I heard hands slap and people walking into the kitchen. That sounded like Eric's voice. He's really tall, broad shouldered, and has red spiky hair.  

"Grace!" shouted an obnoxious voice, "Your date is here!" I knew that was just Tony trying to embarrass me. I rolled my eyes at Bre who was shaking her head.  

"Calm your butt, I'll be right down!" I yelled back.  

There was a series of laughs downstairs and I heard Liam start to mumble something after everyone calmed down. He was giving Blake the 'you hurt her and I'll kill you' talk.  

Meanwhile, I quickly applied some cherry lip gloss to my lips while Bre did some last minutes touch ups on my hair. I grabbed my purse and made sure I had money, my iPod, and my phone. Check- it was all there. Bre gave me one last 'good luck' hug and whispered, "Have fun!"  

I smiled nervously at her and made my way downstairs. Blake was standing by the door along with Liam, Andre and Tony. Blake looked really serious and the guys all looked surprised at him. Blake was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans and black Converse. He had a plain white t-shirt on and a black jacket that was unzipped with the sleeves rolled up on top of it. He straightened up and smiled when he saw me. I did my best to hide my blush. He looked really good tonight.
