Chapter 11

Blake's P.O.V

I stumbled downstairs and muffled a yawn. I couldn't sleep last. Yesterday seemed like such a dream, but unbelievably, it wasn't. I actually spent the entire day with Grace.

I walked into my kitchen and almost walked right back out, but my name was called, "Blake!" she shouted in her screechy voice.

I rolled my eyes and poked my head back into the kitchen, 'What?" I asked shortly.

My mom glared at me with her cold brown eyes. Her dark brown hair was curled messily and static made it stick to the back of her neck and cheeks. She crossed her frail arms and her boney fingers were clenched into fists. "Where were you yesterday?" she asked angrily.

"I was out," I replied simply.

"So you didn't call me?" she yelled.

I sighed, here comes another pointless argument, "I never call you," I pointed out.

She scowled, "Were you with Lisa?"

"No."

"Why?"

"We broke up."

My mom's eyebrows shot up, "Why? What did you do to the poor girl?"

I snapped, "What did I do?!" Of course she always assumes it's my fault.

She shook her head, "Maybe if you didn't dress this way-"

"I'll dress however the f*ck I want!" I spat.

She glowered at me, "You never talk to me like-"

"Leave him alone, b*tch!" I looked behind me to see Adam walking towards us.

My mom was furious, "I'm your mother! You have to treat and talk to me with respect!"

Adam forced out a laugh, "We would, but since you have no respect for us, we don't give any to you!"

Our mom was fuming by now, "You will tell me what happened yesterday right now!" she demanded.

Adam looked her straight in the eyes, "No." While she was seething, Adam grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and pulled me out of the kitchen.
