Chapter 1

~~Hello all my fellow readers! It's been 7 years since I made this and after a lot of thought I plan to rewrite this. Its going to take a while due to my schedule to update it but I'll update it as quick as I can. This chapter is a test, If it goes well and you guys enjoy it i will continue to post updates.

Your heart raced. You felt like you were running out of ideas. You, Tails and a few defenseless surviving mobians stood there out numbered. Your eyes moved and watched each robot carefully. Holding your polearm towards Eggman's robots, trying your best to hold them off. Despite your efforts, the evil robots moved closer.

"(Y/n) we can't stay here."

You could hear the panic and nervousness in his voice. Unfortunately you all couldn't make a run for it, Anyone could be followed, hurt, or worse. It was too risky. One of the many robots lunges towards all of you. You had to think quickly. It was like everything was in slow motion. You raise your polearm into the air, trying to aim in such a short time. With all your physical strength you throw your weapon at it piercing right through it, destroying it completely. Now you were unfortunately defenseless. You mentally beat yourself up for not thinking of a better idea.

"Everyone stay behind me!" Regardless of the situation, you were going to protect everyone no matter what. Things seemed extremely dire.
Just on time as always, in a flash and a strong wind the robots that surrounded all of you were being destroyed in seconds. It was sonic. Hope returned to everyone's hearts. In the blink of an eye, all Eggman's robots were in pieces leaving nothing left but scrap metal.

"Sorry if I'm late everyone, had to deal with more junk like these on my way here. Is everyone ok?"

While he dusted himself off with one hand and held your polearm in the other. He found the small button on your weapon that allowed it to retract into a small piece of metal. He wasted no time and tosses it back to you. You catch it with little to no effort.

"Actually, you're right on time as always." The mobians cheer and thank all of you for saving them, and rushed to go find refuge. "It's all thanks to you that we were able to get the civilians to safety." Tails walked closer to your side. "But still always cutting it a bit close."

Sonic smiled and shrugged. It just adds to his charm. His expression changed to a more serious demeanor. He put his attention to his long time enemy.

"Alright Eggman, let's get this over with and clean up your mess." Eggman had this cocky look on his face like he had some kind of trick up his sleeve, but it was nothing he hadn't done that you guys couldn't handle. "As confident as ever sonic, but this will be your last!"

The three of you were pretty confident, his threats were nothing and hardly even a threat at all.
"This will be the last for all of you. You are no match for my greatest masterpiece!"

Sonic didn't have time for Eggman to waste his breath. He's heard these words countless time. His threats, inventions. They were nothing he or his friends couldn't handle. Sonic lunges forward with a spin dash attack and be done with this war. His attack was interrupted suddenly by something else. A strong force knocks him back but he was able to land and catch himself. What was that? what was that strong enough to stop his spin attack? Your eyes, your expression showed pure shock and disbelief. 

"Shadow?"

The fear in your voice was clear. What was he doing working for Eggman? Along with shadow appearing out of nowhere, Zavok, Metal sonic, and Chaos. Enemies all sonic had defeated. How? How were they all here? For a rematch, revenge? Even so how was Eggman able to bring all of them here? Sonic didn't break a sweat. He defeated them once before, he can do it again.

This eerie presence overwhelmed you. Something felt off, and it was a very bad feeling. You extended your polearm preparing yourself for what was to come. This battle wasn't going to be easy. Your grip on your polearm was tight but not tight enough. 

This unbelievable force caught you off guard. Your weapon was yanked out of your hand by this strange force. It flew into someone else's clawed hand. An unfamiliar enemy. Just when the situation couldn't get worse. All eyes were on this new threat. Sonic was gone in a flash. He didn't hesitate, but he had made a great mistake as fast as sonic was gone so was our new foe. Sonic completely missed his target. He turned around and broke a sweat. How did he completely dodge his attack?
