Chapter 37

A few hours had passed and everything was calm for now. Zero had sat down in one of the corners with some crates. 

He leans his head against the wall and relaxes in his spot. You would look at him once and a while, he just looked so cute resting there you couldn't help but stare.

He could sense someone staring at him and he opened his eyes. You were the first person he looked at. You feel awkward and wave weirdly at him. He smirks and raises his hand moving his finger in the air signaling you to come to him. You look around at everyone and Amy caught your attention. 

She had a smirk  on her face. She looks at Zero then back at you, telling you to go to him. You turn your attention back to Zero. You send a smile his way as you make your way over to him. You sit down on some crates next to him and he wraps his arm around your waist.

" Hey, when is that blue hedgehog gonna come back?" You turn to him.

" Why?"

He gives you this smirk and in return you gave him a nervous, confused smile.

" Zero sigh,...look they're my friends, my family and you are too. Can you try not to start any trouble?"

He rolls his eyes not wanting anyone telling him want to do.

" Hey! Don't roll your eyes at me!" You snapped as you smacked his arm. He just laughs in response.

" Relax I'm just messing with you.If you don't want me to start any trouble then I won't, ok?"

Your expression completely changes.

" Really?"

" Of course, anything for you."

He leans close to you and leaves a kiss on your cheek.

" But I am going to fight the hedgehog when he gets back 

" Zero." You whined with frustration in your voice.

" Relax, think of it as just training."

" Training...hmm, So you won't try to kill him?"

" I mean, I'll think about it."

" Zero!" You elbow him and sit up to walk away but he just laughed and pulled you you back down to sit with him.

" I'm messing with you."

" Sigh..."

"Come on, don't be mad. I'll play nice, look."

He removes his arm away from your waist and sits up.

" Hey what the fox's name?"

 You look forward in the same direction he was looking at. You look at Tails  then back at Zero.

" You mean Tails, what about him?"

" That's his name, ... nothing he just reminds me of...one of my squad members."

You look at him with a baffled look. it had turned into a soft smile.

" Awwww."

He ignores your comment and shook his with a smirk on his face.

" Hey, Tails!"

Tails turns to the voice that called him.

" Zero, what are you doing?"

" Making nice, like you said."

" Ya but your gonna scare him."

" Could you come over here for a sec?"

He asks nicely, trying not to  make anyone tense.

" Um..ok." Tails walks over to both of you. He wasn't that scared since you were right next to him."

" You called?"

" Ya, your name is Tails right?"

" Yes."

" Well, my name is Zero nice to meet you."

He looks at you giving this smug smile. You just rolled your eyes.

" See, i made nice."

"Mhmm."

" Um ok, Well it was nice to meet you too."

" Thanks kiddo."

" Your welcome."

Tails turns around and went back to what he was doing. You look to your left where Zero sat and you kiss him on the cheek.

" You did good."
