Chapter 3

'' I've just received  some great news, sonic is alive. knuckles said with excitement in his voice.

''No way, that's excellent!'' Silver sounded relieved.

''WHAT, oh thank goodness, i knew it, i knew it!'' Amy said cheerfully.

''He's captured in the orbiting prison, my spy there says he's in a solitary confinement cell and they've been torturing him for months.''

''That's terrible , we have to rescue him.''

''Plans already happening Amy, I've got a squad on the way to the space port chemical plant to borrow a shuttle.''

''Come on guys, who's up for an old style jailbreak?'' 

While knuckles, Amy and silver spoke you couldn't help but be confused. That day that sonic fought Infinite, sonic was...Everything around  you went silent. As all your friends voices faded away and your thoughts got louder and louder becoming more and more confusing by the second. sonic was killed right in front of you and Tails how is he .... you couldn't bring yourself to tell them what you saw it would break them,...

Then the rookie put his hand on your back checking if you were ok. 

''Oh no i'm fine, thanks.'' you thanked giving him your beautiful smile.He returns the favor and smiles back. 

After finding out that sonic was alive they arranged a rescue mission. But they just had one problem. They didn't know where sonic was being held and that when knuckles got a call from Rouge.                                                                                                                                                                                        ''Knuckles can you hear me?'' A familiar voice filled the small room.

''Rouge, It's about time, how's sonic doing?''

''He's been better, they're getting ready to banish him into space.''

''What you cant be serious!'' Silver spoke up.

''Eggman has been keeping sonic alive all this time, He's been waiting  to show him his completed empire before banishing him.''

''Torturing sonic just to pass the time, that's low even for Eggman.''

''Eggman got wind of our rescue mission,and is moving forward with his plan  ahead of schedule. The clock is ticking boss.''

''But we don't even know where he's being held captive!'' Amy pointed out.

''Yes we do, Eggman rebuilt the death egg, that's where he's keeping sonic.''

''The death egg oh man that's not good .'' 

''Non of this is good vector, that's why it's call war.'' ''You all know what to do, Let's go get sonic!''

You and the others got in the borrowed ship. You sat next to the rookie. He was looking down as if he was thinking of something....

                             ....A couple of months ago in the city....

The city around him was crumbling to they're feet. Everything was ignited in flames and smoke filled the air.

''There is no reason to resist, your savior is no more.'' A dark voice spoke. He remembers sitting behind a large rock terrified. Not knowing what to do. As  a weapon was thrown in front of him.     he quickly went over to grab it to defend himself.

'' I can taste your terror child.''... remembering every word that day.

''All that anxiety and doubt.

He then faces the weapon an Infinite while trembling unsure what to do.

''It's delicious.'' Infinite raises his hand  aims at the rookie and  fires at his feet causing him to lose his balance and fall back.

''Give into your fear, flee scream  and i'll let you live,'' *chuckles*...

''Hey.'' you elbow him to get his attention and snapping him out of his thought and back into reality.

''You ok? you asked sounding a little worried. He nodded telling you that he was fine, just thinking.

''Thinking of what, if you don't mind me asking?'' He nodded telling you that it wasn't important.

''Oh ok,but if you need to talk to someone about anything, i'm here for you.'' you reassured him while smiling, causing him to blush again.

As Infinite walks into the  main control room looking for Eggman to ask him some questions. Finally finding him he didn't hesitate to ask. 

'' Eggman?... 

''Hmm?'' Eggman jumped, not realizing he had walked in.

'' I would like to ask you some questions, if you aren't busy .''

''Oh no, sure ask me anything.''

Infinite stays quiet for a few seconds. '' Who's the human girl?''

'' Oh you mean (y/n), oh she's just one of sonic's  silly friends.'' Eggman taps on some keys on the key board next to him and pulls up picture of everyone  and information about them. He finds your file and it shows some pictures of you in previous battles and how many years you've been with sonic and the others. He stares at a picture of you smiling. Seeing your beautiful smile made his heart skip a beat but he kept his cool.

''Ahem, is there anything else doctor, what does she mean to sonic?''

''Well in this team of troublemakers, their's the brain, the broad, and the beauty. In this case Tails is the brain, sonic is the broad and (y/n) is the beauty, because of her they united together and still continue to pester me.'' 

''Hmm,... that'll be all. Infinite turns around and takes his leave.

''Wait don't you want to know about the others?''

''No, i have no interest in the others.'' Then he vanished.

Infinite  now appeared in a long hallway. He leans against the tall steel wall. Breathing rapidly, moving his hands closer to his mask, removing it trying to get some air. He covers his face with his other hand. but you could see his muzzle and how much he was blushing. He then slams his fist into the wall.

''What is this felling, why do i feel this way?'' ... *huff huff* as his breathing slowed to it's normal pace. He put his mask back on and continued down the long hallway scraping his sharp jackal nails on the steel walls.
