Chapter Ten

~Aria's P.O.V~

I scream and drop my phone. My dad. Dead. No. Ethan. He has to ruin every fucking thing. He killed my own dad. The closest person I have. How did he find him? How did he get my new number? So many things are going through my head. I can't do it anymore, I can't go on the run again. My eyes start to fill with tears. Once. Just once I would like a normal life, but we all know that's not happening. I need to protect mum.

'Aria! Are you ok? Sweetie why are you crying?' She rushed over to me, I sink to the floor, she sits down next to me and hugs me, I don't move, I'm still crying, all of this can't be real,
'Aria, why are you crying!' Mum says getting scared
'I-it's d-dad' I said choking back my tears
'What about him?' She asks confused
'E-e-Ethan Ki-Killed h-h-him' I say bursting into tears again. Mum sits there shocked, she doesn't move she doesn't even blink.
'Mum?' She instantly hugs me, sobbing into my shoulder,
She whispers into my ear 'I'm going to protect you, it's just you and me now' she gets up and heads for the front door,
'Where are you going?' I ask
'I need to clear my head, I'm going for a walk'
'Please be safe, mum' I don't want her going back to her old ways, she can't go back to her old ways. She wipes her tears, smiles and leaves. I start crying again, my own dad has died, why am I supposed to do now? How did Ethan know where my dad was, why? I throw my phone across the room not caring if it broke.

I know Ethan is smart but how, how could he find out, someone must of told him everything. Nate. Him constantly going to New Jersey to meet a 'friend' his best friend dying 'A while back, my best friend died' he couldn't of been talking about Grayson? He never told me the name of the best friend died. I rush over to Nate's apartment, I frantically knock on his door, tears still noticeable on my face, he opens his face instantly turns into shock,
'Omg Aria, why are you crying? Is everything ok?' He is asking to many questions, I push past him and walk into his apartment,
'What was the name of your friend that died?'
'Why do you need to know' he has a confused look,
'Just tell me' I say getting annoyed,
'Grayson' he says looking down,
'That's why I've been going to New Jersey, Ethan, Grayson's brother is having a hard time without him' I stand there, not knowing what to do

I killed his best friend.
