Alysha pov,

The ambulance came, and pronounced my dad dead at the scene.

They told me that i'd have a social worker round tomorrow.

I don't know why their bothering because I'm not going into care and moving city. no way!

I'm an orphan.

I'm too young.

I have nothing and nobody to turn to when i may need to seek help, shit.

I felt a bit hurt about my dad dying, even though he was a monster, i wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for him.

I just cant believe hes gone to be quite honest.

The amount of pain and hatred he showed me, was unbearable ,but it made me feel so alive, whilst it was draining me mentally. i guess there's one good outcome, no more abuse.

i went to sleep with load's of thought's spiraling in my head that night, it was so bad that i woke up with a terrible migrane.

school, no way.

there was a knock at the door, my social worker.. like i need one anyway im eighteen in two months im pretty sure i can look after myself!

a thin, tall woman came in.

By looking at her, she doesn't look like she's a nice person.

but you can't judge a book by a cover. My mum told me that, when she was still alive.

"alysha smith?"

"what?"

"we have much to discuss."

i don't want to discuss anything with you.

"such as?"

''well it seem's you have no other relatives to live with so we are going to have to arrange you some temporary care, until your eighteen."

"well lovey, you may think this is your job, but i'll tell you something, you aint shifting me from this house, my house!"

"your dad has left you millions of pounds and the house, whilst your in temporary care this house will be paid for and maintained, and when you come back you will be able to have the house and cash."

"so why can't i just stay here?" i rolled my eyes,

"because your underage."

"by two flipping months! I am not moving cities for two months then coming back, and also my gcse's are coming up, so i can't move school."

"thats why we're are relocating you to a lovely local foster couple, they are fostering another boy your age, but i don't think that'll be an issue?"

"foster care? no."

"you don't have a choice madam', you'll be moving tomorrow."

"so what is this family called?" i asked,

"um its hard to name them all, you know?"

"okay the surname?"

"jenkins."

miss jenkins?

no lowe.

****

The social worker finally left, i was relieved, so relieved.

There was a knock on the door..

Nathan.
