Chapter 18

One Jerk and Two Kissing Scenes

“You have got to be kidding me. That’s like the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard.”

For an hour and a half, we have been arguing about what we’re going to do for the stupid Spring Dance that I’ve been assigned to organise. Let me tell you, its the most boring thing I’ve ever attempted and it’s only two days from now, so basically I have to pay for my procrastinating habits of not paying much attention to the time.

“As if you came up with any brilliant ideas.” Zach rolls his eyes, sending a cold glare in my direction.

Well, things have not been peachy between Zach and I lately. After the night where I practically abandoned him from the group before he even entered, saying that Jay didn’t want me to be friends with him, he had turned to the worst person to ever walk on earth. He wouldn’t listen to a word I said, and avoided me like the plague, and since we had to work on the Spring Dance together along with Jay, we had no option but to interact with each other, on completely professional basis if I may say so.

But of course he had taken to the cold behaviour with me if he ever spoke, other than that he would stay ten feet away from me, as if I was going to jump his bones. Nevertheless, Jay was happy since a week and we were having the best boyfriend and girlfriend time. As for Zach well, I had to literally chase him around in order to get him to talk to me. I felt like a stalker at times, seriously.

“At least I didn’t suggest a dance with pink flowers and balloons all around.” I give him a flat look.

“I was under the impression that girls love pink and go all squealing the crap out of it.”

“Not all of them. Besides, pink is a sucky colour. And if I’m organising a dance, it’s going to be more of gothic style. Actually it’s perfect, lets have a gothic theme.” I grin.

“It’s spring, not Halloween,” he says, shaking his head.

I pout and look away, tapping the pencil on my forehead. Since Jay isn’t here today because of his football practice, he left Beth to keep an eye on Zach so he doesn’t end up kissing me. Don’t get me wrong I like him and all but he’s such a jerk at times. Zach isn’t a rapist for crying out loud. But I didn’t wish to have an argument with him, so I didn’t mind Chanel being there with us. Besides, she was busy checking out Zach. I’m starting to think she has a major crush on him or something. Maybe I can set them up together. The group likes him anyway, even though I was out to actually take revenge on him for kissing me on my birthday, I had started to enjoy his company more than ever and missed him at times he wasn’t there and had unknowingly taken revenge on him. I didn’t want to, honestly.

Now it was the other way round. He was the one mad at me all the time instead of me being mad at him. The night when we went on bad terms again, Beth had literally punched the living daylights out of me using a pillow of course. I was beyond shocked to say the least because she was the one that had punched him for kissing me. And now she was angry with me for abandoning him, well not literally but you get my point.

Needless to say Cole had also begun to hate Jay along with the others. Chanel, Beth and Cole thought that he was an A-grade jerk who deserved no one but a frog who he could sit and talk to. I have no idea why they said that, but lets just say it’s not good.

Also, they liked Zach since he was the ultimate fun guy you could ever meet, also a charming one and Beth claimed that he only kissed me because he’s such an idiot at times but he’s not a bad guy at heart. Oh come on, he’s like the bad boy of school. The stereotype one where girls want to be with him and boys want to be him, he’s perfect in every aspect and also the self-acclaimed player.
