"Wooh! Of course, you're the one and only, The Rock!" sabat naman ng bestfriend kong si Eloisa na kalampungan ang boyfriend of the week niyang si Rafael, the football player.
I just been warned by my mom about my failing grades. Damn! Anong klaseng Nanay, right?
"Why are you taking it seriously? You're young to get wed, so why worry?"nakataas-kilay na tanong sa'kin ni Mug, ang barkada naming anak ng General, as well as our drummer.
"She's worried because she's 99% sure she will have failing grades this year," a smirking Sergio raised his glass and wink at me.
"Get lost Seryo! Hanapin mo ang Marimar ng buhay mo!" I quip after downing the alcoholic drink on my glass. Bakit ng aba ako affected? Imposible namang ipakasal ako oramismo!
"Sergio, for you babe," sagot naman nito. He's a guitarist at minsan ng nagpalipad-hangin sa 'kin. Sergio is a playful guy who jumps from one relationship to another or much worse two or three-time women. Damn, men specie! But I love my male friends. These friends in front of me, right now.
I leaned on the back of the sofa and closed my eyes.
Yeah, right. My mom might be just warning me but for her to say those things, for sure pinag-isipan na niya iyon. But no! Impossible!
My phone vibrates inside my pocket. I lazily reach for it and tap my finger on the screen without even seeing who the caller is.
"Hello?" I hoarsely said, eyes still shut close. I can't hear the person from the other end kaya wala sa sarili akong tumayo kahit papikit-pikit. I passed the rowdy dancers on the dancefloor at huminto sa medyo may kalayuang bar island. The club is huge that it will take a five minute walk from the sofas and tables up to the bar, lagpas sa hindi mahulugang-karayom na dance floor.
I heard a sound of an ending call. I heaved a deep sigh and take a seat in front of the bar where a smiling bar tender is looking at me.
"The hardest please," I ordered.
Though, he often reprimands me of my behavior ay hindi naman niya ako napipigilan. The busy person that he is, just like mom, hindi nila ako makukulong sa bahay. Of course, hiwalay sila ng bahay at may sarili akong condo, so paano nila gagawin 'yon, diba?
I chuckled to myself and grab the glass the bartender has prepared for me. "Thanks," I smiled and stared at my glass of a dark liquor. "Oh shit!" I hissed when the strong aroma filled my nose. Ang tapang ng amoy!
"Spyritus," dinig kong order ng katabi ko. I glanced at him while sipping my drink.
