Jace's POV
It's been two days since the incident and she was still sleeping , Alec's called every ten minutes after I told him she's taken ill and boy it was annoying. I was keeping my promise to her and her father , I've never left her side since that night and It has been a quiet few days, until now. There was a knock on the door and before i could get up the door flew open and Alec walked in with Allison. Great, the wicked witch of the west, yeah I called her that, Magnus told me that it was on of the Argent and how he knew? they were stupid enough to used an arrow with her family symbol on it. "What's going on? Is she okay?" he asked looking around for her.
"She's fine, she's sleeping -healing."I replied to him. I led him into her room, where she laid in her bed sound asleep. "See." Alec sighed in relief. i understood and knew how he felt, he spent years hiding his feelings towards her until he met Allison who at first he dated to try to not have feeling for Amara, I guess it worked, Alec change a lot when he met Allison and i wasn't sure if it was a good thing. Alec took a seat on her bed, grabbing her hand, I took it as my cue to leave, I waited outside with Allison.
Alec's POV
Jace left the room and for a moment I just sat there studying her features while she slept, realizing that I missed her so much. "I'm so sorry. I keep leaving you when I promised that I wouldn't. I'm so sorry Mare." I sucked in air "That was the last time, I promise, I'm never leaving you again, you're my best friend and I'm so fucking sorry that I forgot when Allison got back." I paused again "Mare," I leaned in closer "wake up, let me look into those brown eyes again, let's train every Tuesday no matter what, please let me apologize when your conscious." I finished and when she didn't wake up I let go of her hand and went to Jace.
Amara's POV
why is it so fucking dark? wait am I dead? No Amara you're being stupid your sleeping, remember this isn't the first time this happened. duh.
"I'm sorry.." what? "I keep leaving you." what is this, this never happened before.
"I'm so sorry Mare." Alec? "I'm never leaving you again." what is he talking about?
"you're my best friend Mare." No duh, I'm everyone's best friend. "and I'm so fucking sorry that i forgot..." oh, Alec. It's okay.
"Mare, wake up." I'm trying Alec, just keep talking to me "Let me look in those beautiful brown eyes again.." beautiful? "let's train every Tuesday no matter what." Dude I'm holding you to that. he let go, the warmth was gone I heard his foot step in the distance, then silence.
"I know you can hear me Amara." what? Who the fuck is talking? "you weren't supposed to be found." I'm confused.
"leave Alec alone he is MINE!!" Insecure Bitch. "leave him alone or next time I'll make sure no one finds you." This crazy-ass bitch almost killed me for Alec. No one spoke after that so I assumed I was alone. I heightened my hearing.
"so who do you think did this?" Alec asked Jace, he didn't answer verbally but I knew Alec knew what Jace was thinking "Valentine." no, no, no, no, no, no Alec smarten the fuck up. It wasn't Valentine, he didn't do this. Alec! no response. Fuck.
