The next few days Lydia took control of the institute. It was late at night when it happened. Hodge, Alec and Amara were attacked by modified forsaken, that managed to get across the wards  without setting off any alarms. Hodge got the best of it he was only thrown across the room while Alec and Amara were hit with its club. Alec hit the ground holding his shoulder covering the blood. It distracted Amara to see her best friend lying on the ground so she didn't notice the forsaken coming at her with its club, it was too late, she was hit in the head with the metal thing but it didn't stop her, she lost control. She attacked the forsaken with all her might, and to kill the poor thing she ripped off its head in one fell swoop. Then and only then she fell to the ground, fainted.

Izzy was the first one into the room, she headed straight for her big brother when she seen him on the floor clutching his arm. "Amara!" Jace spoke being the second one into the room, he ran towards her, blood oozed from her head while he rubbed the blood away he watched her heal .

Her eyes fluttered, then when her wound was completely gone she opened her eyes. "Your eyes." Jace warned her that they were shining a bright red. She blinked once. Twice. And then they were back to her chocolate brown eyes that everyone else knew. "Okay?" Jace asked while he helped sit her up.

"okay." Amara told Jace as she stood on her own. She nodded towards Alec. "You okay?" All he did was nod. She knew that he was lying but- for now- she decided not to push him. she bent down to look at his wound . "You're going to need stitches."

"I'm fine." Alec told her.

"who am I?" Amara asked him, he didn't answer. "Who AM I?"

"Amara Bane." he muttered out. she gave him a look to go deeper "My best friend."

"yes, And I know what's best for you." Amara told him confidently. Jace coughed. "sorry. Me and Jace know you better than anyone else." Amara told him "Now,  shut up and get those stitches." Alec looked to Jace who silently told him to do what she said.

"Okay, fine I'll get stupid the stitches."
