The situation of Los Angeles where they both nearly kissed flashed in their minds. Everything seemed so similar, but also so different that all they did was to lean even closer to eachother.
And the only thought they had in their heads was that there's no one that can stop them now.Annabelle looked up at Ryan as the swirls of emotion she saw there made her gasp. Lust and desire. Respect and protection. Deep, unconditional need of that kiss - everything was written in his eyes, allowing her to read from them like from an open book. She knew they shouldn't do it; she knew they cannot do it. But all those thoughts, made by a brain who fought so much for her logical mind to come back, flew away as soon as the boy touched her.
Ryan just stared deep into Belle's ocean blue eyes, touching her cheek that was slowly turning red. He smiled at her before leaning even closer. His other hand was shaking slightly, his mind was repeating the same sentence over and over,"Don't do this... don't do this." But the sound of his heart was beating so loudly he couldn't concentrate. It felt like it was going to explode.
Before, they could both realise what they're doing, Rye covered girl's mouth with his in a hungry kiss. Their lips crushed together, causing Belle to sign with surprise. It felt like magic, the way his lips connected with hers. His mouth was so warm, the caress of his lips softer than she could have imagined. She kissed him back, feeling butterflies bombarding her stomach. Her hands travelled on the back of his neck, playing with his hair, as he deepened the kiss.
The situation obliterated Rye's every thought. For the first time in forever his mind was locked into the present. The worries of the day evaporated like a summer shower onto a hot car. His usual mode of hurrying from one thing to the next was suspended, he had no wish for the kiss to end. Drunk on endorphins his only desire was to touch her, to move his hands around her waist, feel her body pressed to his. He never felt that way with anyone else, he wanted it to last forever.
After what felt like minutes, the lack of air caused them to stop. They looked into eachother's eyes, being completely calm about the situation. The magic didn't disappear yet, drawing smiles on the faces that didn't want to go away. They just broke their secret bet - they couldn't say there was nothing between them now. The kiss changed it all. It was like a badge, sticking out proudly, highlighting their connection.
The loud explosion of the first firework, caused Belle jump lightly, followed by Rye's laugh. The boy was still close, not wanting to move away from her. "Was that exciting enough?" He asked, flash backing the situation of their last Los Angeles party.
"Hm?" Belle looked at him confused, to then laugh as her memory came back. He surprised her again - she would never thought he remembered the moment when she kissed him on the cheek, explaining that she's not wasting their first kiss on some stupid dare as it was boring. "That was definitely more exciting" she said, sitting near Rye to watch the firework night.

"Do you think we should call them again?" Mikey asked, really worried about his friends. They were out for more than 4 hours, where all they had to do was to order some sweets that would take an hour maximum."I'm sure they are alright buddy, knowing Rye he took Belle to some spontaneous date afterwards" Andy said, pretty sure about his predictions.
"Yeah, but even if that happened, they should be home now, it's nearly 1AM" Mikey kept stressing himself out as with his personality he was always caring about people around him.
"I'm hungry" Brooklyn moaned randomly, getting a cushion punch from Jack, who tried to go to sleep.
"Stop moaning Brook, we could hear you from the outside" Rye's voice pierced the atmosphere as he entered the flat with Belle. The girl gave everyone an apologising look, giving them their orders from couple of hours ago.
"Where were you?" Both, Mikey and Andy asked at the same time, with a difference of worried 'dad' voice coming from Mikey and curious, cheeky from Andy.
"It was a firework night, we decided to stay and watch it" Rye said evasively, not sharing any details. Belle's cheeks coloured a bit after his reply, remembering the deep kiss they experienced.
"Hmm, okay.. and in between this time you managed to propose to her?" Andy asked sarcastically, confusing everyone. "Well, that ring is probably a present from you" he said, pointing at Belle's hand, "and she wears it on her engagement finger" he added, causing the girl to quickly swap ring from her 4th to her 3rd finger.
"Well, back in history married women used to wear their rings here" Andy said, pointing at her change. "I guess you're not proposed anymore, you're married!" He laughed, having more fun he probably should have.
"Shut up Fowler, who would know you are an expert when it comes to weddings" Belle said, changing her ring back to its previous place. She liked it there, she didn't care what finger it was.
Before Andy had a chance to say something back, a loud FaceTime call sound pierced the air. Belle took her phone out, seeing her best friend Amanda calling her again. "What's up A.." she started but was quickly cut by Amanda and Rose, singing happy birthday song as they made a group FaceTime. Annabelle just laughed, reminding them they did it in the morning already. "Yeah, but we just want to know how you day went. The boys kept you entertained?"
'Oh maybe even too entertained' Belle thought before quickly sitting on the couch and telling her friends about the day. She managed to say everything, without mentioning the kiss. However, Rose and Amanda still found a reason to annoy Belle with their assumptions.
"He bought you are ring?! Oh god, he's so into you" Amanda screamed, being too overreactive as usual. Belle just turned the volume down, wanting to finish that conversation. "Oh, but that's not why we're calling for." Rose said suddenly, fulfilling Belle's prayers. "We have a little present for you - more from the heart than a materialistic one, but hope you'll enjoy" she said, sending the girl a link.
Belle just opened it quickly, seeing a little video. She played it straight away, being curious of what her friends did. From the first seconds, pictures of her and Amanda when they were children appeared on the screen. This quickly changed to present, showing photos and videos from Los Angeles that they all did as a group. "Oh I forgot about those" Belle said with a smile on her face, seeing photos from Hollywood sign hill. This night was so awesome and crazy, she didn't think of pictures they took earlier. Wait, what" she said, stopping the video straight away. "How did you... oh Jesus" she mumbled, seeing secret photos that Amanda took of her and Rye when they weren't looking.
"That looks quite intimidating, doesn't it?" Rose smiled, getting a dirty look from her friend. However, there was no reason of hiding the truth - this looked so adorable and Belle couldn't disagree about it.
"Don't tell Rye about those. I have a plan" Belle said mysteriously, changing the topic of the conversation.
————
"Boys, do you want to speak with Rose and Amanda? We just stopped talking and they said they are free" Belle said, coming into the room. Andy reacted quite enthusiastically, getting his phone and leaving to FaceTime his girlfriend."I'll message her that I'll call her tomorrow. I'm quite tired right now" Mikey said, getting his phone. Belle just nodded, quite surprised he said that. This boy was usually the first one in a line when it came to talking to his girlfriend - no matter what time it was. However, Belle quickly ignored her thoughts, understanding his tiredness as it was nearly 2AM in the morning.
Mikey however, felt everything apart from exhaustion. His mind was working rapidly; he was overthinking everything again.
He didn't know why it happened.
He didn't know when it happened. But he had a feeling that he doesn't love Rose as much as he used to anymore...
To be continued....
So what do you think about Rye and Belle's kiss & Mikey's love struggle? I love talking to you all in comments, feel free to leave your opinion ;)
