At the same time as Belle and Rye were at the roof, watching fireworks display, their friends were in the garden, meeting to celebrate the New Year together.

"Where are Belle and Rye?" Rose interrupted the silence, still wrapped in Mikey's arms. She felt bad for the pair as even though everyone, especially Amanda, suggested they are together, they still weren't and leaving them on their own on New Years Eve made her feel guilty.

"I have no idea, I thought they'll be around us somewhere" Andy replied, looking everywhere, but there was no signs of neither of them. He looked at Mikey, who seemed to be thinking about something. The boy suddenly turned around, scaring Rose a little.

"I'm sorry, babe" he said, looking around, this time more carefully. "I think I know where they may be..." he replied quietly, knowing Rye for too long not to realise he did something crazy again.

"Remember how we stayed until 3AM talking in the kitchen, the first time we met?" Rye laughed, taking a sip of nearly finished champagne. Him and Belle were currently sitting on a stone sit at the roof, talking and drinking the alcohol from the bottle. Fireworks finished already, but lots of lights were still turned on, making the atmosphere very cosy and beautiful.

"You made me watch videos with you after and I fell asleep. The boys were so confused" she mirrored Rye's actions, getting the alcohol and drinking a little from it. She didn't care about hygiene, she kissed that boy right?

"They're even more confused now. I feel like their questions about our relationship aren't teasing anymore, they truly believe it" he said, getting into a topic that Belle wasn't too keen to talk about. But Rye was right in whatever was in his head, they couldn't kiss all the time and act as friends.

"I mean.. do we act as friends anymore?" She asked, a little quieter, feeling her cheeks heat up. It was so hard for her to talk about it, she didn't know what he felt - even a simple rejection would hit her so much, she would be embarrassed for the rest of her life. Now, she was lucky that alcohol gave her some confidence.

"No, I don't think so" Rye answered, looking at the sky in front of him, before he slowly moved his head sideways, boring his eyes onto Belle. "I think we're more than that"

"Blair will kill me..." she sighed, realising she broke nearly every rule he told her about. No girlfriend rule - fail. Not hiding anything from him - fail. Not getting too close with any of the boys - fail.

"I think you made him change his views a little. He's alright with us having girlfriends now" Rye continued. After his words left his mouth, the silence hit the air as Belle wasn't sure how to reply. The boy knew she was waiting for him to make a step; if he was going to ask her out, he should do it right now. But the fear of rejection was still wandering around his mind; he definitely didn't want to break what's between him and the girl now. "That's it" He thought, knowing he couldn't play 'a cat and a mouse' anymore. He decided he'll ask her to be his girlfriend now.

"Belle..I was thinking..." he started, looking at the girl who turned her head to face him, almost as if she knew what he wanted to ask. He looked at her soft ocean blue eyes, giving him the last proof that he's making the right decision. He couldn't let her slide away so easily.

However, things in life aren't that simple. This time, a loud noice of a metal can falling on the ground pierced the air. "What was that?!?" Belle panicked a little, wondering whether to run, hide or stay here.

"This is Robin's club, no matter of who that is, we won't get in trouble" Rye said with confidence. However, despite his words, he still moved the girl behind him just in case it was no one from the security, but someone a lot more dangerous. His actions were automatic; it's almost as if he didn't think about it, this natural need of protecting her jumping out like an instinct.
