"You look beautiful"

Those were the first words that Belle heard when she came to the dance floor with Rye. The boy placed his hand on her waist while she held his shoulder, starting to dance to one of the slow, romantic songs. She smiled at him widely, making sure he sees, in that way thanking him for the compliment.

Rye knew that he wasn't the type of person to give random, cute compliments but he had to make sure Belle knows it. She looked gorgeous. Extremely gorgeous. Everyone did, but Belle had this harmony that differentiated her from other girls. Her long, tanned legs and slim waist was highlighted by a mini, velvet, burgundy dress, making her look like a goddess. Her make up and shiny curls just added to a whole image. But those things weren't the most important - it was the little details that intrigued him. The way she smiled when he asked to dance with him, the cheeky look in her eyes when she drank his drink or her bitten lip when Robin thought they are together - those were the things that made his heart speed up.

"It's midnight soon" Belle whispered quietly, looking at Rye who was daydreaming for couple of seconds. Seeing that, she let thoughts dominate her mind as well, thinking about everything. She never felt so safe, but so full of life like she did with him. He managed to change her boring monotonous life into an everyday surprise and she couldn't be happier. But she knew that even though she is thankful for everything, her feelings are far away from being indebted. He was extremely good looking and she couldn't deny that; his everyday gym sessions left him with an amazing body, but those were only secondary things. What was more important was his sudden, loud laugh that made her smile within seconds. The way he spoke about his family and music - with all this love and the passion. She couldn't forget his cheeky side and his smirks that always made her blush, whenever he said something inappropriate. "You have 20 minutes to find a friend, otherwise you're spending New Years with me." She joked to get away from the thoughts.

"I want to spend it with you, I told you already. You have no choice" he laughed, looking outside to see if people gathered in the garden. By the looks of things, most of good places were taken already.

As he thought about it, an amazing idea came to his mind. He jumped a little, scaring Belle. She quickly looked at him, seeing the look in his eyes that she knew too well - Ryan had a plan. "Wait for me, I have a wonderful idea. I'll be gone be 2 minutes, don't move" he said quickly and before Belle had a chance to say something, he disappeared.

The girl just stood in the same place for the next couple of minutes and as she thought that the boy got lost in his mission, Rye run to her from the corner of the room.

"I have a plan, let's go." He simply said, taking girl's hand to walk her out of the main hall. Belle knew that getting things out of Rye can be quite difficult so she just followed him quietly, trying to guess where he's going. The problem was that Rye didn't know it himself, he decided to wing it and go through the first 'staff only' door that he saw.

"An illegal, midnight adventure with Ryan Beaumont, why am I not surprised" she laughed as she followed the boy, not caring about breaking the rules. Rye just mirrored her actions, taking her hand and running through a long hall with a ladder by the end of it.

"Brings back memories, doesn't it?" He asked, climbing in first, to see whether everything is safe. Belle went straight after him, catching Rye's hand to help her walk on the roof properly.

"Wow" she said, looking around the place. This wasn't an old, hotel roof. It seemed to be another part of the club, so luxury made. She walked closer to Rye, wondering why he's staring at a black sky.

"See this" the boy spoke as she came closer. "That's where firework display will be" he said, pointing his finger at a huge sky in front of their eyes. Belle just walked near the edge, seeing people gathering in the garden already. Even with the best places, they won't be able to have as good view as she and Rye will have.
