Warning: little mention of self harm and suicide

"So are you and Belle alright now?" Andy curiously asked Rye when the girl left with Brooklyn to go outside.

"I think so" the boy said quietly, not really knowing how to answer that question. "We still need to talk though" he added, fearing the conversation. No matter how okay Belle may seem with him now, he was scared they'll get take over by emotions again and get into even a bigger argument.

He still remembered their "nearly kiss" situation in Los Angeles and what they said after; they blamed it on lack of partners, impulse of a moment. But he didn't want to lie like that anymore. His feelings for Belle weren't just a quick desire; they were there; strong and permanent.

"We need to contact Blair, you know that, right?" Mikey changed the conversation, knowing their manager needs to be informed. The situation was too serious to be hidden.

"I'll call him" Andy said, getting off the bed to get his phone.

At the same time as Andy was speaking with Blair, Belle and Brooklyn sat on the bench, near the swings, looking at the park in front of their house. The silence pierced the atmosphere for couple of minutes, but Belle didn't worry too much about it. She was sure it would take Brook a lot of strength to tell her everything; they had time.

"I'm sorry" were the first words he said, which broke Belle's heart already. It wasn't his fault. Something horrible must have happened and he had a right to be angry; he had a right to be sad.

"Don't be sorry" the girl whispered, turning aside and taking Brook's hand in hers. She didn't say anything after, waiting for him to start talking.

"You know things, don't you?" He asked and Belle knew exactly what he meant. Telling her that his cousin is in hospital after a suicide attempt would cause him to break into pieces. That's what he wanted to avoid - telling her that out loud. It was completely different to know it; having it in his mind. Hearing those words flying out of his mouth would just make him realise the reality even more. Therefore, all Belle did was slowly nod her head.

"I knew. I knew before... She did it because I chose wrong" he said as his voice cracked from tears. He quickly hidden his face is his hands again, breaking apart. He was shivering from both cold and emotions, tears running down his arms. Belle couldn't just calmly look at this situation; she grabbed him closer, wrapping her hands around his body, allowing him to hug into her chest. It was the first time when she played the "big spoon" in the hug, but she knew Brook needed it. She felt his tears wetting her sweater, his head hiding in her neck, almost looking as if he wanted to disappear. They sat like that for good couple of minutes, before the boy was able to speak again.

And that was the time when he told her. He told her everything, not hiding a single detail. He mentioned how Katie moved to their house 4 years ago, after her parents decided to move out to USA. How his mum and dad became her new family, how she was angry at everyone that her biological parents left her without a single thought. He told Belle how Katie had problems in school, how she wasn't likeable, how she struggled with learning. He, on the other side, was completely different; trying his hardest to get the grades he needed, with many friends, a lot of fun.

"She was jealous" he whispered, almost embarrassed for saying it. He didn't want to sound too egoistic, saying his life was amazing. But in her eyes it was exactly like that. She hated him with every part of her body, but didn't show it too much. Until one point. 18th September 2015* - the date when he became a trilist in the band. It was a cumulative point for her; she didn't understand how his life could be so amazing comparing to hers. Especially when 2 weeks later, on 1st of October he officially joined the band.
