This chapter is for Em, thanks for hyping me up throughout the whole story. I love you💖

Everyone's eyes moved onto Brooklyn, who sat quietly on his sofa. He looked at Ryan with annoyance, not liking all this attention that was put on him. "Come on Brookie, no one will judge you" Ryan added, knowing that story with Emily still bought memories with Katie.

"I'm not single too. I've been in a relationship with Emily for two weeks now" the blond haired boy finally started, a smile automatically appearing on his face. "She's... weird" he stated randomly, "this cute, adorable type of weird; a little ball of enthusiasm, my little rainbow fish*" he rumbled, getting in a completely different mood than he has been in a while ago. Emily really bought what's the best from him. She was always happy, injecting this enthusiasm onto him. At most times, he was exactly the same, but after everything that happened to Katie he needed someone to bring him back to his old self again.

"Katie ruined me. I felt like I was slowly losing all my patience, my happiness" Brooke continued, trying to explain his feelings. "Around her I wasn't myself; I was cold, almost like a robot. Everything was automatic. Completely emotionless." He said, getting sad looks from everyone around the room.

"I couldn't visit her in hospital, she didn't allow me to. And that broke my heart again. No matter how much she hurt me, I wanted to make sure she's okay" He continued, feeling Rye's hand on his shoulder. Everything between him and the brown haired boy has changed since their last conversation. Rye forgiven him everything that happened with Belle and was there for him a lot more, realising how serious situation with Katie was. "One day, I sneaked into Katie's corridor at 4AM in the morning. I couldn't go into the room though; I didn't know whether she's asleep and if she would see me, she would most likely call nurses and I would be in trouble" he stated, "but I just... I really wanted to see her. Make sure she's okay" Brooklyn continued the story, memories coming back to his head again.
That was the night that he knew he will never forget. He was sitting on the floor in the corner of the corridor, tears flowing down his face when Emily has found him. She didn't seem to care he broke the rules, she kneeled next to him asking if he was okay. He nodded, but they both knew the truth. The girl didn't ask about anything, but opened up her arms, hugging him tightly. It was one of the kindest things someone has done to him in a long time. His parents were too anxious about Katie to realise what state he was in. He didn't want to worry them even more.

"I'm sorry for being such a baby" were the first words he said, as he raised his eyes up, finally looking at the girl. And what he saw took his breath away. Her blond hair were shining from the light, highlighting her face that currently showed 2 adorable dimples from her little smile. Pointy nose, couple of freckles and her eyes - big and green, really similar to his in both size and colour. But that wasn't all. She had 2 pairs of glasses on - one on her eyes and one on her head, making her look even more adorable.

She was gorgeous.

"You're not a baby. Come on, you can't stay here or you'll get in trouble." She said kindly, "let's go to my office, I'll make you tea and you'll explain me what's wrong."

And that's what he did. Half an hour later they were still chatting with empty cups of tea, changing conversation to the most random things. Brook was scared at first, thinking Emily will get in trouble for not working, but she insured him that she usually doesn't have anything to do this early. "I wanted to visit my cousin, Katie" he started, feeling like he won't regret opening up in front of this girl. She listened carefully to the whole story, moving closer to him to squeeze his hand, especially in the most heartbreaking parts. "She's still mad at me. I'm not allowed to see her" he finished, raising his green eyes to meet Emily's that were identical to his. She was a girl version of him, both in looks and behaviour; and he loved it.
