(Third P.O.V)
The school day just started and four people had entered the building through the front doors, and they were Sydney Pridemore, sisters Hannah Harkness and Kaitlyn Harkness, and finally Maryselle Lea. Unknown to them they were about to cross paths because something was following the four of them, and that something was the spirit of the believed to the be 'dead' Shadow. His spirit followed Hannah to her first even period of the day.
Once Hannah and the Spirit got to her first period she sat down in her chair and waited for class to begin as the spirit stood behind her not saying a thing to anyone or anything. Hannah got ready for class to start when the intercom came on to say, ''Good morning everyone I have some terrible news that had happened over the break. We lost one of our students his name was Logan Rose. We would like to have a moment of silence for him.''
With that Hannah and several others across the school started to cry for the loss of one of their friends. Others however were glad he was dead and glad he wouldn't be around for the rest of the year.
Hannah had known Logan since third grade and were friends even if he wasn't normal. 'That's what I liked about him. Even if he wasn't normal he was still a friend to me,' Hannah thought.
Then a white haired girl appeared next to Hannah, and no one batted an eye at the figure cause only Hannah could see her. She said, ''You're not normal either Hannah. You are human but a special one with powers that aren't even unlocked yet.''
All Hannah could do was nod her head at what the figure said, and then she waited for the bell to ring signalling the end of class. She didn't have to wait long as he bell rang a few minutes later and she got out of her seat and left the class going to her second class period. She walked down the hall and then to the left into her classroom with her next period and classmates. The spirit was right behind her as she sat in her new seat with her bellwork in front of her.
The Bell rang a few minutes later as everyone started talking about Logan. Kim spoke first and said, ''I'm glad he's dead he should've died last year but no he had to come back.''
''Kim shut up,'' Hannah said as she stood up. ''All he did was save our sorry asses from being killed, and how do we repay him? We repay him by killing Dragons and trying to kill him multiple times. He's the hero we're the ones who are in trouble, and now he's dead.''
''Why are you sticking up for him Hannah?'' Kim asked her.
''He saved me once, Kim. Now I can't repay him for saving me,'' Hannah said. ''He's not a monster. He's only that way when people like us make him mad.''
''That doesn't matter to me,'' Kim said. ''Anyone who knew what he was is glad he's dead. People like you who are friends with him have turned their backs towards humans. He's a monster and will always be one even in death.''
''Shut up about him, Kim,'' Hannah said lacing her anger into her words. ''You didn't know him like I did. He might've not been human but I don't care about it. He treated me with respect unlike the rest of you who made fun of him cause of the hollow mask covering his eye. Did you ever think he had a reason to wear his mask over his right eye?''
''Oh what besides hiding his right eye,'' Kim said. ''Oh wait he didn't have a right eye.''
''Shut up just shut up!'' Hannah yelled. ''You knew nothing about him. You judged him like a book. Now that he's dead who will look after us humans?''
''Hopefully no one like him or Mrs Pridemore,'' Kim said. ''It will have to be the army they'll protect us from the future threats.''
''You're an idiot, Kim, if the army tried so hard why was Logan still alive by the end of every encounter?'' Hannah asked.
