The Chronicles

Part 9

(Erica's P.O.V)

     I had just gotten to school wondering where Mrs Pridemore was because she wasn't here, and we haven't seen her since yesterday before she and Bailey left to go to the Mystical Library. Bailey came back, but she came back with Rio, someone who knew Logan and what he was like. He told us that Bailey and Mrs Pridemore had unsealed him but he was hiding something from us.

     I got out of my car and walked up to the school to look at the roof to see two hooded figures looking down at everyone else, who had just gotten here, and me. One of them had a sword on his or her back back and the other had a sword by his or her side, and with a flash of lightning they both disappeared. 'Could that have been Logan and Mrs Pridemore cause if it was why don't they just come back to us,' I thought. 'Especially you Logan.'

I thought back to the day I first met him.

--Flashback--

       I had just gotten into fourth period when I looked at Logan Rose, and he wasn't doing his work as he looked out the window. He's been in my english class for the past few weeks and I've just started to realize he was in this class since day one. He was nice to me, but for the past few days he's been acting weird. Like leaving in the middle of class and coming back a few minutes later with his shirt ripped and his face pale.

      Today however Mrs Pridemore said we could in pairs of fours doing group work and of course she had already picked our groups up. She called them out but the one that I was in was with Logan, Caeleigh, and Brittney. Brittney and Caeleigh I didn't mind but having Logan as the only male in the group was weird. Then all of us got into groups and Logan still didn't pay attention to a thing that happened until Caeleigh said, ''Logan stop your damn worrying and do the work with us.''

''Sorry, Caeleigh,'' He said.

    We got started on the work and noticed that Logan was actually participating in the group work with us.

      After we finished our work we had thirty minutes of class left and with the time left over the four of us talked, Logan, Caeleigh, Brittney, and me.

     When class was about to end Logan grabbed his stuff and walked to the door getting ready to leave, but Hannah Jones had gotten near him and all I could see was an arrow of light go through her chest killing her instantly. That's when Logan walked out of the classroom leaving Hannah dead in the floor. 'It couldn't have been him that killed Hannah.' I thought.

     As they called Car Driver I walked out of the school to see something strange happen. A monster with flames for hair had killed two guys that I didn't know the names of or cared for, and burnt them to ashes. Then it changed into Logan, who got on his motorcycle and drove off. 'Okay I can't believe what I just saw and it was Logan killing two jaskasses,' I thought.

Next day

    It was the next day of school and fifteen hours after I saw Logan kill those two guys. I walked into school after I had arrived by the bus. I told no one of what I saw because they would call the police on him so I dropped the subject entirely from my head as I walked to first period to wait for the bell to ring.

      After the bell rang the intercom came on to say, ''Morning everyone before we start announcements I'd like to say that three students died yesterday. The three students names were Yammi Scott, Jones Scott, and Hannah Jones. If you know what this creature is please tell us about it so the military can kill it before it starts killing the rest of us.''

      The intercom turned off as the fire alarm went off to have everyone in the building got outside. I walked out of the building with my class and my curiosity got the better of me cause I walked back to the doors and sneaked inside to walk to the lobby.
