The Chronicles

Part 23

(A/N) For anyone who wanted to know why it took me so long is because I had came up with five different versions of the same fight each ending the same way. So now I present to you this super long chapter.

(Shadow's P.O.V)

     It's near the end of Christmas break and today Sydney, Bailey and I were going to the Shadow Realm, a place I haven't been in since Alex and Bailey talked. That's our plan for today going to the Shadow Realm and seeing what's going on there if there was anything happening, which there shouldn't.

     As of right now Bailey was outside waiting for Sydney as I was in the cabin going over a bit of history about the Shadow Users and the realm itself. Reason why is because I had no idea what my people could do and why we mattered.

       Once I heard footsteps I got up and walked outside of the cabin. I snapped my fingers and opened a portal to the Shadow Realm. Though before Sydney, Bailey, and I walked through the portal I grabbed a leaf from a tree, and then the three of us walked into the portal.

        When we stepped through it we were in the Shadow Realm, but it wasn't like it usually was. There were no kids running around or people walking around, and the buildings were destroyed. Bailey asked, ''What happened here?''

''It looks like this place was attacked by something,'' Sydney said.

      My body moved on its own and saw a green mist over in one area before seeing a pool of green liquid. I walked over and got onto my knee before putting my finger up to it. I touched the liquid and brought my finger up to my nose to smell it. I said, ''Nuclear waste? What the hell is this doing in the Shadow Realm?''

       I stood up and looked around to see bodies on the ground. Sydney asked, ''Who could've done something like this, Logan?''

''No clue,'' I said. ''but what type of person would kill a ton of innocent people?''

       Part of me knew the answer to that question, but the other part of me was more worried about the cave that was here. I let my angel wings unfold and said, ''I'll be back.''

      Without giving them a reason I flew into the sky and flew to the cave that held Chaos energy within it.

      Once I got to the cave I landed right in front of it and saw three dead bodies of three Shadow Users who had fell. 'They died protecting this cave,' I thought. 'and Hillary I'll make you pay for killing so many innocent people. I promise you that much. You'll pay for killing everyone in this realm.'

     Then I flew into the air again and flew back to Sydney and Bailey. As I flew I saw so many dead bodies of the children who lived here. I said ''I'll make you pay, Hillary.''

      Once I got back to Sydney and Bailey I landed in front of them folding my wings away. Then I walked to the portal and said, ''Hillary did this. Wiping out so many people who didn't do anything wrong to her.''

''You okay, Logan?'' Bailey asked.

''Not at all,'' I said. ''I just need some time alone.''

''We understand,'' Sydney said. ''Just go do what you need to.''

''Thank you,'' I said walking through the portal and appearing back in front of my cabin.

      Instead of going inside I walked the other way towards the village, but I didn't go there I walked by it and continued walking wanting to be alone.

     I stopped walking once I got to a clear field and then I got onto my knees with tears threatening to fall. 'She killed so many I knew,' I thought. 'So many innocent children who just began their lives, and she killed them without a second thought.'
