"jesus, what the hell is wrong with me?" max asked herself, wiping the tears streaming down her cheeks; you just stared at her in awe. you never thought max would open up to you; you tried, over and over again and now here she was, telling you all about her past and crying in front of you.
"hey, hey, hey. nothing is wrong with you, okay? thank you for opening up... your brother and father are both assholes, and if you ever need protection i'm right here." you reached out to hold her hand, which she gladly accepted. "hey... i like talking with you, max. you're like... totally tubular." she smiled at your joke, interlocking her fingers with yours.
"and i like talking with you, stalker."
