Chapter 13; Dakota

When I saw Akela in the hold of Alpha's grip, I knew saving her wasn't going to be easy.

Akela turned to me and so did Alpha.

Akela gave me a worried, scarred look.  

Alpha didn't do the same.

He had a completely different look.  His teeth were bared at me, enraged that I had escaped from Beta.

But, even from his angry expressions, I saw no hint of him knowing that Beta was dead.

I guess it was better that he didn't know.

His emotion didn't calm down. 

He seemed like he was ready to kill something, someone.

Of course he's going to try and kill someone.

Akela.

How was I suppose to save her, if Alpha would kill Akela if I tried attacking him?

"Well, well looks like the Omega came to save his little friend." he snickered, "I wouldn't try to attack if I were you, otherwise your friend won't stand another minute alive."

"Don't you dare hurt her," I narrowed my eyes at him,"I-If you do I'll..."

"You'll what?" he smirked at me.

I don't know what I would do. Would I attack? But, he would attack Akela.

I don't know.

"I thought so," he sneered at me,  "You'll get to watch her die. What a pleasure, right?"

I don't want to watch her die! I don't want her to die!

Please don't kill her! I wanted to scream at him.

"Let go of her," I growled, "It's not her fault I chose to hang around her."

Please let go of her. Please.

"No!" he snapped at me,"She deserves to die!"

Akela nervously looked towards me.

She doesn't deserve to die. It's not her fault she got caught up in this mess.

It's mine.

If anyone deserves the pain, it's me.

"Alpha, please don't kill her. You can punish me instead! I deserve it, not her! She's done nothing wrong!" I pleaded.

"I can punish you all I want after I snatch her life. You can't change my mind! She will die!"

Suddenly, I saw him throwing his claw at her chest, where right where her heart was.

No, not now, not ever! I won't let it happen!

I screamed at myself and lunged on Alpha, throwing him off of Akela just before he would've struck her.

Alpha was furious. 

He snarled deeply as I held him to the ground.

He shoved me off of him, with strong force. I yelped when I hit the ground hard.

Suddenly, the whole pack started attacking me and Akela.

I noticed Zach was the only one who didn't attack. He pretended to attack, but never did.

I turned to Akela. I noticed her quickly get up and start to fight some of the wolves.

How were just the two of us suppose to take down the whole pack?
