"Watch out!" I heard someone shout at me in warning. I quickly glanced to look see who shouted that at me. It was Dakota.

Why should I watch out? I thought to myself. Suddenly, as I was trying to answer my question, I felt keen fangs grab into my wounded leg. This pain was a different, worse. I had felt other wolves bit into my wounded leg before, yet not this hard.

I immediately began to shriek in an astounding pain. This was more pain than I had ever experienced. Soon, my vision became blurrier and I could only see fuzzy figures from around me.

My vision then continued to become more black around the edges, while my hearing turned less clear. I could only hear the echoes of growls and yelps.

The fangs went as deep as they could get into my wounded leg.

Who was attacking me so harshly? I couldn't figure out who was attacking my wounded leg. I couldn't see who it was.

The wolf growled while they let their fangs fall into my wounded leg. I noticed something about the growl; it sounded familiar. It was a growl that sounded different from the others.

It was a low growl, with a hint of hatred in it. I then knew right away who it was. The Alpha.

I was still screaming as he continued to torture me with pleasure. I thought he would let go of my leg by now, yet he never loosened once.

He kept his painful fangs in my wounded leg, not ever letting go. I couldn't see where he was, all I knew was that the longer he kept his fangs in, the more pain followed.

I kicked every blurry figure that I saw, that was attacking me. I hoped that I might hit the Alpha to make him let go of my wounded leg. By this point, the pain grew to be extreme.

Make him let go! I screamed inside of me. Get his fangs out of my leg! There was so much pain.

No matter who I kicked at, the Alpha never let go. My leg was in too much pain. Make the pain go away! I can't take this pain anymore! I wanted the pain to go away.

I lost more blood from my leg. I would die of blood loss. I cried out in pain, while growing even dizzier than before and with amounts of pain hitting me.

Moments later, he finally released my wounded leg. I sighed in relief of his fangs out of my leg, yet that didn't mean I wasn't in a lot of pain still.

I thought Dakota must've attacked the Alpha, yet I wasn't sure because my vision was terrible. I guess it didn't really matter, since his fangs we're out of my leg.

I realized that I was getting to the point where I felt like I would black out soon.

I can't black out. Not now, at least. I need to help Dakota first. I struggled to clear my vision and fight the urge to black out.

I began to attack more aggressive blurry figures. I heard a yelp everytime I'd kicked or bite into someone.

I kept doing this, until a blurry figure stood by me and whispered into my ear quickly with a weak voice, "Get on to my back and hold on tight."

It was Dakota. His voice echoed a little when he spoke into my ear. I nodded, too weak to respond.

I put my paws on his back, and he lifted me on him. I wasn't sure where he was going with me, and I didn't ask.

I soon heard what sounded like the Alpha bark in frustration, "Get them you foolish mutts!"

Suddenly, I heard a roar of loud growling that echoed in the air. I could also hear a ringing stampede behind us. They were following us and I could tell. Everything was still too blurry to see, so I wasn't sure where the pack of wolves were.

Pain was striking me, as I was fighting to stay awake. I then whimpered while I was on Dakota's back. I was in so much pain and confusion. I was puzzled by where Dakota was taking me. That was until I felt a splash of water. We must be in the river.

Why were we going into the river? We'll die trying to get out of this river! I wanted to scream at Dakota for choosing to go into the river.

I didn't scream at him though, I was too weak and in too much pain to scream at him.

I felt the rapid waters grow as Dakota swam closer to the middle of the river.

With no hope, I said secretly to myself, We will never make it to the other side.
