At the end of the day, all the football players headed to the football field to have their first practice of the official season. When the star six football players got to the field, they headed straight for the locker rooms.

"First day back and they expect me to write a whole essay." Stephen complained.

Jose smirked as he walked into the home locker room while Clover went off to the guest locker room. "About what?"

Stephen sucked his teeth. "Shit, about my summer. All I've been doing is playing football and tanning in this fucking hot ass sun."

Jose smirked as he looked over across the locker room where he saw Colby taking off his shirt to put on his compression shirt and put on his padding. When Colby looked over his shoulder at him, he smiled and winked to his boyfriend.

Jose turned back around and put on a short sleeve compression shirt before putting on his shoulder pads. Right when he was about change his pants, he heard Ricky yelling for them to hurry up.

"Let's go! Mateo wants to start on time for once! Let's go!"

"Hey! A felon gets a job, don't know how to act." Ethan laughed.

Ricky flipped him off from his spot at the doorway of the locker room. "Get dressed and be another mediocre defensive tackle for one more year."

"I'm a better defensive tackle than you were fullback." Ethan shot back, strapping up his shoulder pads and walking over to Ricky, his cleats clicking against the concrete floor.

Ricky didn't move from his relaxed position leaning against the doorframe. "You think? Funny, cause when you faced me you weren't saying that. If I recall, when I tackled you and knocked you on your ass, you were laying there for a couple seconds. Probably still got those bruises I gave you. And once again, I'm not a felon. But I'll get a felony to show you what happens to people who don't get humble."

Ricky kicked the back of Ethan's knee making it give out and him fall down to one knee. "Get humble kid, cause you're all replaceable. Even being first ranked."

"Don't drag me into this." Jose whispered, walking over to Ethan and helping him up.

Ricky looked up at the football team. "All of y'all on the field in 2 minutes. Mateo's not in the mood for late people today. And come at me like Ethan, I'll do more than make you kneel."

Ethan just glared at Ricky as he walked out the locker room. Ricky went to the guest locker room but stopped short since none of them were allowed inside.

"Let's go, princess." Ricky crossed his arms. "2 minutes and you have to be on the field."

"Come tie my cleats for me, I'm too lazy." Clover called out.

Ricky sighed as he walked inside the locker room and saw her sitting on the benches putting her feet into her cleats. As she did that she using her fingers to comb her hair back so it'd stay out her face.

Ricky walked up to her and stuck out his leg for her to put her foot on. She stood up and put her foot on his thigh so he could tie her cleats.

"Where's your helmet?" He asked, quickly tying her right cleat before she switched cleats and let him tie the other.

"The flood. I dropped it earlier. It's behind the bench." She answered, putting her hand on his shoulder so she didn't fall over. "How's the first day going?"

"I understand why Mateo calls us hooligans now." Ricky sighed. "It's not as fun being the coach and not player."

Clover smirked as she put her foot down. "Can't relate. I'm still young."
