Cam and Carter

Hayes’s POV:

The car ride back to the hotel was quiet, besides Nash blasting music, which was weird because we usually goof around and sing in all our car rides.

“Jason? why are you so quiet?” I asked

“Oh um I don’t know jet lag probably,” He mumbled.

“Um Jason we flew from North Carolina to New Jersey… theres no jet lag.” Nash smiled.

“Right,” Jason looked out the window obviously unaware of the conversation.

“Ok Jason we’ve been best friends for years, and I know when something is up, now tell us” I said sternly.

“Ugh ok fine. I’m just a little nervous about Magcon ok? I’ve never been before and I just want everyone to like me. Then I think what if they dont?”

“Jaasonnn don’t be crazy they’re going to love you.” Nash said.

“How do you know?” said a worrisome Jason.

“Well who wouldn’t LOVE this?” I said showing Jason a picture I took of him asleep on the plane.

He laughed and seemed to feel in a much better mood. We got to the hotel, showered, and made our way to the lobby to take a cab to the restaurant. I was so happy that we get to see Cam and Carter again- I missed them.

“LETS GOOOOO,” Nash yelled to Me and Jason who were currently taking a selfie for instagram.

“Finnneeee,” I whined back as we got into the cab.

Nash’s POV:

I was excited to meet up with Cam and Carter and introduce them to Jason since I knew that they would love him. When we got to the restaurant we saw two familiar faces.

“CARTER! CAM!” Hayes yelled running to them.

“HAYESSS!” Carter and Cameron yelled back in unison.

“Sup Cam! and a püma to you Carter” I said with a laugh.

“Hi pümmaaa!” yelled carter back.

“Oh guys I forgot to introduce you this is Jason.”

“Sup Jason!” Carter and Cam both came in for a high five from Jason who laughed and followed along.

“Jason I heard you like to sing?” Cam asked with a smile.

“Yeah I mean sometimes,” Jason said somewhat awkwardly.

“Are you kidding? You’re amazing!” Hayes said to Jason.

“Well…. this IS a karaoke bar,” I said with a smirk.

Jason looked over just realizing that we set up this restaurant because we all wanted him to sing.

“SING SING SING!” we all started to chant at Jason.

“…Fine but only if you pay for my dinner,” Jason smirked at me.

“Done,” I said with a laugh.

Jason slowly made his way to the stage ready to blow this bar away with his talent. I wonder what song he’s gonna sing.

Jason’s POV:

I knew what song I had to sing. I was trying to impress my friends because if I sucked… well that would be embarrassing. So I got up to the mike.

“Um hi everyone my name’s Jason and I’m gonna sing Cough Syrup by Young the Giant.”

“YEEAAA JAY! Get it! TWERK FOR US!” I could hear the guys yell from the back of the restaurant.

I sang the song hopefully nailing every note, but from the roar of applause I think I did. I did perhaps the most awkward bow ever and walked back to the guys.

“You are amazing!” Cam said as I sat back down.

“I knew you could do it Jay,” Hayes smiled at me.

I couldn’t believe the response I got from that performance. People were coming up to our table asking for pictures with ME! I guess I was more popular than I thought.

The rest of the night was spent laughing and making vines together. Nash, Cam, and Carter were a little drunk but it didn’t seem to affect them that much. I could tell that they were starting to get a little annoyed when all the fans come up to me asking for pictures instead of them. But it wasn’t a competition so I didn’t want them to feel like that. I went to the bathroom after we paid the check and were about to leave. I just hoped they weren’t that mad…

Hayes’s POV:

It was a little annoying to have to take pictures of Jason with all his new fans, but I was happy he was getting the attention he deserved.

“Leeets ditchh him,” a drunk Nash said when Jay went to the bathroom.

“Yeaa lets go,” Cam replied as they started to leave.

“Guys why would you do that to Jason?” I asked.

“Hayes, you obviously don’t get it, Jason is amazing at singing and his fame will only grow. Do you really want to be in his shadow someday or do you want to make something of yourself?” Carter snapped.

“But he’s my best friend he would never do that to me,” I said.

“People change hayes, the fame can do that to them. Now lets go!” Carter said as he grabbed my arm practically yanking me out the door.

I thought about what he said. Could it really be true? Jason is so talented and what if he gets too famous to even be my friend? I would NOT lose our friendship at any costs. Maybe I should just go with them…
