One of Those Nights

Taylor’s POV:

Well wasn’t that just a lovely performance by Shawn. He totally just called out MY girl Quinn for his own when I was standing right there. I swear this kid is pushing my nerves. Quinn doesn’t like him.  She likes me and Shawn needs to realize that. He’s pretending that him and Quinn actually have something, but they don’t. Quinn chose me over him. How hard is that to understand? I was currently standing with Quinn talking about our date.

“Where do you wanna go?” she asked.

“Oh don’t worry, I have something planned.  You’re gonna love it” I replied.  I had spent every moment of the day thinking of where to take Quinn on our first date, ever since I asked her the other night.  I really wanted it to be special, like something she would never forget.

At first I couldn’t think of anything.  At least nothing she would be interested in.  After thinking long and hard about it, I decided to make her a dinner and to have a picnic in the park.  I went to the store and picked up some of her favorite foods and got a picnic basket to put it all in.  I also bought a big blanket for us to sit on.

As soon as magcon ended for the night I had a limo pick us up to take us to the park.

“Where are we going?” Quinn asked over and over.

“It’s a surpriseeeee.”  A few minutes later, we arrived at the the park. I pulled out the picnic basket and blanket from under my seat and helped Quinn out of the limo.

Quinn’s POV:

So I just got picked up by a limo and am now in my way to a surprise date with Taylor Caniff, typical.  I was really excited, and I could tell Taylor was too.  We finally arrived to our destination at a park.  As we stepped out of the limo, I noticed Taylor carrying a picnic basket with a blanket. (The basket didn’t have a blanket on, he was carrying one)

“We’re here”, Taylor smiled.

“I noticed, considering we just got out of the limo” I joked.

“Ha-Ha” He replied as he grabbed my hand.  We began to walk over to the middle of the park, where we could set up our picnic. “I packed your favorite foods.” When we finally put down our belongings, we opened up the picnic basket to find chicken fingers and mac and cheese.

I laughed. “Taylor! You know me so well.” It was true, mac and cheese and chicken fingers are my favorite foods.  Right after I said that, we dug right into our dinner.  Since we have only known each other for a little while, we started talking about ourselves more.

After we finished our food, we started listening to music. Slow music, fast music, and Taylor even rapped his song Buckwild for me.  After we got tired of that we started talking again.

“Do you like rollercoasters?” He asked me randomly.

“YES!! I love rollercoasters.  At Six Flags Great Adventure, they have this ride called Kingda Ka and it goes from 0-130 MPH in 3 seconds and rockets you 456 feet up.”

“Woahh! That sounds like so much fun!” he said very enthusiastically.

“It is! We should definitely go while you’re here. It’s not too far away.  We can go with all the guys too. I’m sure they’d have a blast!”

“Yeah! Maybe we can go later this week.  I really wanna go on Kingda Ka.” At this point it was about 10 at night, so we decided to call the limo driver to come get us.  We packed everything up in the picnic basket, and walked out of the park.

As we waited for the limo outside the park, we looked at the sky.  It was so peaceful outside.  I looked over at Taylor, he looked so cute.  I really did like him, and I’m pretty sure he liked me too.

“Hey Quinn, I want to tell you something.” I turned my head concerned and nodded.  “I love you Quinn.  I know its only been a couple of days, but I honestly really love you.”

“Oh Taylor! I love you too!” I blushed.  He then set down the picnic basket and leaned in, and we began to make out.  I looked up into his beautiful brown eyes, and smiled. I turned around and noticed lights of a car approaching us. (Don’t worry guys, it was just the limo, a car isn’t about to hit them)

“I think the limo’s here..” I told Taylor.  He agreed and we walked over to the door of the limo, and headed back to our hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel there were about 20 fans waiting in the lobby.  We were already inside so we couldn’t avoid them.  Taylor kindly stopped for each of the fans.  They tried following us in the elevator but Taylor told them that they couldn’t and they should go to their own rooms or home.

“Sorry about that but if I don’t stop they’ll say I don’t care about them, and I really do” Taylor told me.

“Oh no I don’t mind at all.  I know how much crap people give you about “not caring”, it seems pretty annoying.”

“Yeah, I really don’t understand it.  They know I care about them so much, yet they start all these lies.” He said as the elevator door opened to our floor.  Like last time, Taylor walked me to my room before his.

“Thank you Taylor, for tonight.  I had a lot of fun.”

“I had a lot of fun too!” He said.  As I opened my door, I threw my bag in the crack so I didn’t have to leave it open.  I gave Taylor a big hug and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. We said goodnight and he walked down the hall to his room.

I was in the middle of changing into comfy clothes when I heard all this yelling and laughing coming from Jason, Hayes, and Nash’s room.

I honestly wasn’t that tired so I decided to see what was going on.  I knocked on their door a couple times.  They all got dead silent and I heard someone walking to the door.  Nash opened the door seconds later.

“Guys it’s Quinn.” He told the guys. “We thought we were getting a noise complaint.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if you did, I heard you from all the way down the hall.” I told him. Nash laughed and told me to come in.  Jason looked at me, and even though it might look like he’s all happy, I knew him better than anyone and I could tell he was still upset.

“Hey, you alright?” I asked him as I sat next to him.

“Not really… I completely embarrassed myself in front of Cat.  I’m just so disappointed in myself.” He confessed.

“It’ll be ok Jay.  I think you should call her tomorrow, just talk to her.” I told him.

“Yeah, I don’t know if I can. Whatever, I don’t wanna think about this right now.”

“Ok good..” I turned my head to talk to everyone “So, what have you been doing in here that’s making you be so loud?”

“Not much really. Just having fun I guess” Hayes said.

“Maybe you should try to have fun being a little quieter..” I joked.  Hayes smiled back with an attitude.

My phone started vibrating and I looked down to see that Shawn was calling me.  I showed Jason and then I declined the call. I wasn’t in the mood to talk to him tonight.  Not after my perfect date with Taylor.

I hung around for a few hours more, until I noticed it was midnight The guys were still wide awake and talking, but I decided I should probably get some sleep.

“Well I better go, I need to get to sleep.” I told everyone as I picked up my phone to walk to the door.

“Bye Quinn, See you tomorrow.” Nash and Jason said at the same time.  Hayes was a little behind.  I opened the door and left.  I walked down to my room and as soon as I opened the door I jumped into bed and closed my eyes.  I was exhausted.
