Surprise

Cat’s POV:

I hate surprises. I don’t like not knowing what to expect. Is that weird? I knew Jason probably planned something amazing for today but what is it? I don’t know what to wear, how to act, or what to expect. I hope I don’t embarrass myself in front of him… What if I don’t respond the way he was hoping? Okay Cat get a hold of yourself. Jason likes you, I think, and he’s gonna try and do something great for you. I had to try and act like I was totally cool with walking into Magcon without any kind of idea as to what will happen. Just calm down and be cool. I was a little nervous of Jason’s fans though because he posted a picture with me when we hung out and boy did I get some hate. I guess it won’t help that I had my Jason Miller t-shirt on today…

“Cat are you okay you haven’t moved from staring out the window for like 30 minutes” Maddie said.

“What? Yeah oh um i’m fine. Are you Okay?”

“Yes…”

“Okay great.”

 

“You’re thinking about Jason aren’t you.”

 

“Yeah… kinda”

 

“Well at least you get to finally see him again today.”

 

“Yeah that’s true are you happy you can see Hayes again?”

“Yeah, but sometimes I feel like he doesn’t like me the way I like him.”

 

“Oh please Maddie Jason told me he’s nuts about you.”

 

“He said that??”

 

“He did. You have nothing to worry about with Hayes.”

 

“Oh thank god, I was getting so nervous.”

 

I laughed then continued to stare out the window enveloped by fear and stress as to what can happen today. Just relax Cat everything will be fine.

Hayes’s POV:

We all arrived at the hotel and I was filled with excitement and the usual butterflies I get before every magcon, and today I was even more nervous to see Maddie again. She made me feel weird inside, like a sort of warmth whenever I see her. I just wanted to hug her all the time and claim her as mine. Then, of course I would have to ask her out which is a whole different story. I realized I had drowned myself so deep in thought I was falling behind the group. I saw Jack G and Jason reading the lyrics to Sing, so I sped up to catch up to them.

 

“How’s the song comin’ Jay?” I asked

 

“I’m feeling pretty good,” He said looking a little more confident than before.

 

“He’s gonna nail it,” Jack said patting Jay on the top of his head.

 

Before Jason could say anything our voices were drowned out by the sound of thousands of screaming fans staring us down and flashing cameras in our eyes. We all split up to see the most fans possible. I was taking selfies and signing autographs left and right before I even stepped inside the building. Oh how I love the fans. They are always here to see us- by the thousands and their support means everything.

 

“Hayes! come on we’re going inside!” Jack G yelled to me.

 

“Coming!” I said as I hugged one last fan.

 

I walked inside to see everyone getting ready for the day. The fans all piled in ready for Mahagony to announce us. We all got into the huddle ready to get pumped up.

 

“ALRIGHT BOYS! HERE WE GO LETS GET THIS DONE!” Nash yelled to get us fired up.

 

“MAGCON ON three 1…2...3” he continued.

“MAGCON!” we all yelled.

 

We all dispersed as Mahogany ran out to her dj post. She called out all the names except for me and Jason.

 

“He’s the youngest family member! please welcome HAYES GRIER!” she yelled.

 

I ran out touching the arms of all the fans and taking my place to everyone on stage.

 

“And finally, welcome the newest member JASON MILLERRR!!” she finally said.

 

The crowd erupted and pushed toward the ends of the gate that held them back as Jason ran down the aisle slapping hands and taking pictures along the way. When he finally made it up to the stage we all did our regular thing; dancing and screaming on stage or doing whatever got the crowd screaming. Finally, it was time for the Jacks to perform so everyone stood around stage except for me and Jason, so I could help him prep for his song. We ran backstage to do a final runthrough. Jason’s face was bright red and he was breathing really heavily.

 

“Relax Jason just calm down and you’ll nail all the lyrics,” I tried to make him feel better.

 

“Ok ok fine. Let me go through it one last time.”

 

Jason sang the song perfectly hitting every lyric and every note… he was going to get this right I knew it.
