Stuck (A Magcon Fanfic)

distracted without you

Quinn’s POV:

I finally arrived at magcon and the energy at the event was awesome! I squeezed my way through the crowd of about 300 or more girls to get to the front.  Mahogany was just announcing all the guys, while playing different songs.  When I saw Jason come out, I couldn’t stop smiling.  I was so proud of him.  

Shawn Mendes started to perform his new cover of Skyscraper.  He’s really good! After he finished Skyscraper, he started to sing one of my favorite songs.. Say Something.  After the first verse Jason walked out on stage singing along with him.  I froze.  The audience froze.  Everything froze except for the two of them up on stage.  

I was so beyond proud of Jason.  He got up there and nailed it!  Half way through the song I started singing along, and I even shed a tear.  Jason’s singing was beautiful, so was Shawn’s.  Together, they were perfect. After the duet Jason sang a solo which everyone loved once again.

As soon as Jason finished singing he ran over to me in the front row.  I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a giant hug.  

“You were AMAZING, Jay!  Everyone loved you!” I told him.

“Thanks!! I was so nervous no one would like me.” he said while letting out a tiny laugh.

“I’m so happy for you!”  He walked away and went over to Shawn who I think was staring at me.  Awkward..

It was time for the VIP hour to meet all the guys. And in case you forgot I, QUINN WEST, was a V I P! I rushed and pushed through a line of general admission fans who thought it was cool to just drop kick me in the back sharkeisha style. After a while of pushing and shoving I finally reached the all VIP fans only area where I lined up to meet the boys. I really only wanted to meet Shawn because he was friends with Jason, and Taylor because--- zayum. I approached the line for Shawn and waited until it was finally my turn to meet him.

I walked up to Shawn and gave him a friendly hug.

“Hi, I’m Quinn West, Jason’s cousin.  I loved your performances!”

“Hi! Jason told me about you. You’re a lot prettier than how he described you!”

“So he described me as ugly?”

“NO! I just-um you’re like- wow -um gorgeous. Wait what?”  

“Um, well thanks…So can we take a picture together now?”

“YES! I mean… um sure whatevs”

We posed for the pic and then we did a hugging picture and boy did shawn squeeze me. I couldn’t breathe.  

“I’ll see you around!” I said about to walk away.

“Yea! Oh wait can I get your number in case you wanna hang while I’m in New Jersey.”

“Yea sure!” I gave him my number and then I walked over to Taylor’s line.  I was so nervous I felt like I was going to throw up. I have had the biggest crush on him for the longest time.

When I finally got to go over to him,  I tried my best to stay calm.

“Hey Taylor, I’m Quinn!  I’m Jason’s cousin I don’t know if he has said anything about me or not”

“Hey Quinn! I remember him saying you were gonna be here.”

“Can I get a picture with you?” I asked.  He said yes and then he hugged me as we posed for a picture.  

“Umm can I kiss your cheek?” I asked really awkwardly.

“Why don’t I kiss you?” he smirked.  I just laughed while my face turned bright red.  After we took the picture, I gave him another hug and told him I’d probably see him tomorrow. He waved goodbye to me as I walked away over to Jason to say bye.
