Magcon New Jersey

Jason’s POV:

I don’t think that I’ve ever felt more excited and nervous before in my entire life. Today was my big day, my debut appearance at Magcon! I was ready, well I hoped I was ready. I still felt kinda bad about not doing the duet with Shawn. I really wanted to do it, but I didn’t think that I was good enough to do it with SHAWN mendes. But then again I still had to do my solo performance right after Shawn did his. Maybe a duet wouldn’t be that bad of an idea… when i thought this I saw Shawn start to approach me.

“Hey, good look out there today! You’re going to kill it,” he said

“Thanks Shawn! You are too!” I said.

“Oh and if you change your mind about the duet… you know where to find me,” he winked and walked away.

“....uhhh OK!” I said as awkward as possible. Oh yeah if you haven’t found out yet, when I don’t know what to do I get awkward… like very awkward.

“30 SECONDS TO SHOWTIME!” Bart called out.

My heart started pumping like a drum. Then I started counting down in my head… 29, 28, 27… I could do this! I’ve never been afraid of crowds just be yourself I said to myself. 20, 19, 18… At least I would know Quinn if worst came to worst. Just look at her and I would feel fine. 12, 11, 10… Ok it was time for me to do my thing. I tried to let the nerves wash away. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… showtime.

Hayes’s POV:

Mahogany ran out to her dj post to get ready for all of our arrivals. I was so pumped to see the fans. I looked over at Jason and smiled, he was pacing back and forth obviously nervous.

“Hey Jay… Don’t stress about this, just be yourself and they’ll love you,” I reassured him.

He smiled and walked over to the entrance door. Mahogany started playing Paradise as Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky ran out to the herds of screaming girls. Then came Taylor, Shawn, Carter, Cam, Nash, Matt, and Aaron, then it was my turn. When I heard the song Best Day of My Life come on I ran out touching the hands of the fans who were screaming their heads off.

“HAYES I LOVE YOU! TAKE A PICTURE WITH US! SIGN MY FACE!” they all screamed. I loved the fans so I tried to take as many pictures as I could before I made my way to the stage. Then Nash grabbed the mike.

“Hey guys, we are introducing a new member of Magcon today and he is a very funny viner who you probably recognize for his singing too. Please welcome Jason Miller!”

There was an eruption of tears and screams as Jason ran out to the song Take me Home. He was so funny and started dancing with this fans mom causing all of us to start laughing. After a few pictures and high fives he made his way to the stage too. He ran up to Quinn to give her a high five who was sitting in the front row. Then he walked over to Nash denying a hug and just taking the mike. Weird… I thought to myself. He was over the other night… wasn’t he?

“Thank you guys for supporting me! I’m so happy to be here!” he yelled getting and eruption of cheers from the fans.

After that Jason lined up next to all of us as we got ready to perform. Me and him had been practicing our huah dance and were ready to show the fans. Mahogany played hit that nae nae so me and Jay ran to the front of the line. “HUAH” everyone screamed and then we proceeded to do the dance receiving and eruption of cheers from fans. Then, Me, Carter and Mahogany started doing the dance to the song You’re a Jerk. It was funny watching other people try it because no one else could do it. Finally Mahogany played a crowd pleaser… Lip Gloss. Everyone did the dance with us and it was so much fun. After the song was over it was time for Shawn and Jason to perform. Shawn went up first to perform a cover of Skyscraper. He was so good and all the fans loved him and were singing along. I knew that they would love Jason too just as much as they loved Shawn. Oh that reminds me, I wanted to go talk to Jason before he performed. I made my way to backstage as I heard Shawn start to sing Say Something.
