Hayes’s POV:

Me, Cam, Nash, and Jack G were sitting with a shaken up Jason as soon as Shawn walked away. We had 30 minutes until we had to go line up to meet the fans. I was kinda in shock about the whole Shawn pushing Jason thing. I never would have been able to picture Shawn doing that to anyone, especially not Jason. What could Jason have done to make Shawn feel so angry. Jason wouldn’t hurt anyone… unless they did something to him.

“Jay do you have any idea why he could’ve been so mad?” Jack asked.

“Well I think he was mad because Quinn doesn’t like him back and somehow it’s my fault because we’re cousins,” Jason replied.

“That’s not really a valid reason for pushing you to the ground twice,” Cam said.

“yeah well he asked me to talk to Quinn for him but I didn’t want to make Quinn’s decision on who to date for her, she should live her own life and make her own choice,” Jason explained.

“I dont know what got into him but one things for sure and that’s the fact that you are staying away from him,” Nash directed.

“I can’t avoid him forever, we’re gonna be on tour for a while,” Jason protested.

“Well don’t leave us then. What if he tries to really hurt you and we’re not there to protect you?” Nash asked sternly.

“I think I can fend for myself Nash I don’t need you watching over me like a hawk,” Jason said with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

“Well how’d that work out for ya Jay?” Nash blurted out.

“Nash shut up he’s fine,” I tried to silence him.

Nash got the memo that Jason wasn’t in any mood to be insulted so he just stopped talking.

“ALRIGHT BOYS TIME TO LINE UP!” Bart barked from offstage.

We all filed into our rightful spots. Jason went to stand with Nash and I stood with Cam since Jason and him switched spots for the day. Shawn walked in with Carter and Matt and stood on the opposite end of Jason. Jason looked at his feet avoiding any sort of interactions with Shawn.

“I hope this fight doesn’t last long,” Cam said.

“I know… me too,” I sighed.

Before Cam could respond the fans swarmed in like a herd of wildebeests. They screamed and cried our names as loud as they could. It was kind of funny to see them so emotional over us. It meant a lot too. They all approached one by one and had the same reactions. They would be so shocked and barely able to speak so we would have to do most of the talking. Some were quick and just wanted a photo but others spent a lot of time talking to us. It was nice to finally see some fans up close and personal. I looked to see who was next in the line and then my muscles tensed. It was Maddie and Cat. Maddie approached me with the cutest little half smile I had ever seen. I smiled even wider and wrapped my arms around her.

“I missed you Hayes,” She whispered in my ear.

“I missed you more Mad,” I said as I squeezed her tighter.

We both released and she posed with me for a picture. I kissed her on the cheek and her skin was soft as a pillow. Maddie blushed then walked over to see Cam. Cat walked up to me looking worried.

“How is he?” She asked referring to Jason.

“I think he’s better but there’s a lot of drama going on. It might be best if you didn’t go talk to him,” I replied.

“I was thinking that too. Thanks Hayes, but tell him I miss him and loved my surprise,” She added.

“He’ll be glad to hear that. Thanks Cat,” I said kindly.

She smiled and walked away with Maddie. The whole rest of the time I was thinking about Jason. What was gonna happen to the family? We can’t go on normally if Shawn and Jason keep up with this feud. I looked over to see Jason acting as his normal self goofing around with Nash and the fans. At least he didn’t look upset. Although if I know Jason I know he hides his emotions, and I just wanted to know how he truly felt.
