After detention I walked to my hell whole, also known as "home."

"Oh, you're home already." My mom said whilst throwing a empty beer bottle at me.

"Fine, you don't want me to be here; I'll leave!" I yelled while running out the house and slamming the door behind me.

DEMI'S POV:

I slowed down my driving as I heard a loud yelling coming from a two-story brick house.

I came to a complete stop as I saw a girl who looks almost like Emily running out of the house.

Wait, that is Emily!

I immediately started following her.

"Emily!" I yelled repeatedly while sticking my her out the window like a puppy dog.

EMILY'S POV:

"Emily!" I kept hearing.

I looked behind to see Demi sticking her out the window, looking completely ridiculous, but hey, she gave me a laugh.

I chuckled and walked up to her.

"What are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing." She replied.

After a short pause, she said, "hun, get in the car."

"What? Is this like a kidnapping or something?"

"Not a kidnapping, but I heard the yelling coming from your house. I assume you need a place to stay tonight and I'm certainly not gonna let you sleep on the street."

I smiled, said "thanks", and got in the car.

I pulled my sleeves down so they were covering half of my hands.

DEMI'S POV:

I watched her after she got into the car, patiently waiting for her to buckle up, but all she did was pull her sleeves down and look really insecure. I hope she doesn't actually think I'm going to hurt her.

I reached over her and buckled her up.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Buckling you up."

"Why?"

"Just in case."

"O...kay, so this is a kidnapping?"

"Not a kidnapping." I replied and drove us home.

"Wait, you actually live here?!?! It's so big!" She said, immediately walking into the house.

I just smiled.

I forget how thankful I am for my house until someone walks into it.

"Follow me. I'll show you to your room."

"My room?" She looked at me blankly.

"Yes, I can't let you go back to that house. No way do you belong there. I will see what I can do in my power to adopt you. You're my baby girl and I can't let anything happen to you."

I tried to put my arm around her, but she slowly moved away.

"So, where's my room?" She said while putting her hands in her pockets.

"Right. Follow me."

I led her up the stairs and all the way down the hall into a ginormous room with a built in bathroom and walk in closet. Oh, and don't forget the rotating glass shelves, specifically designed for shoes.

"Woah!" She said while looking at everything. "This is amazing, thank you!" She hugged me.

"Only the best for my baby girl."
