So far it had been five days since I last saw and heard from Elijah.
As much as I wanted to reach out to jack for information, it was probably best to stay away from him.
I was in my bedroom thinking of an outfit to wear to my job interview today. I had majored as an author. I was pretty good st writing stories with true meaning behind them so I majored in a job I was good at. Plus, it is easy work.
I was still taking online classes from time to time. Alex and may were doing the same thing because they each have rich parents and they spend most of their time helping their business out. I on the other hand, had spend my summer working at an expensive hotel cleaning bathrooms and rooms. They paid well which was a bonus.
I decided to pick a black skater skirt with a white long sleeve sweater paired with white high healed boots.
I slightly curled my hair. I wanted to accomplish getting styled beach waves.
After i was done, I realized I was running late so I grabbed my laptop off my bed along with my purse and headed out.
As soon as I stepped outside, the cold wind blew really strong. The sun was still out so there wasn't any sign it was going to rain.
I quickly got my car keys out and got in ready to drive to my destination.
-----
Traffic was a problem in New York. I just couldn't wait to make a great story so I could get interviewed in different parts of the world.
Traveling was definitely in my bucket list.
I drove up very well known streets until I saw a very big presentable building. The headquarters of very well known publishers.
The building was amazing. The huge water fountain in the front was plastered with black sleek tiled floors.
I hadn't even gotten in and I could already tell these people meant business.
I found a parking spot and when I got out, I realized how my car was the only old looking one out of the ones around us. Literally.
I flattened down my hair with one hand and made my ways towards the building entrance.
I stepped in and the building was very elegant. The white tiled floors shined from the brightness of the multiple lights from the ceiling. The front desk was at the right and on the left was a small waiting area where a few people were busy drinking their expressos while typing away.
I was to busy looking aroubd the whole place I didn't acknowledge the people rushing around me trying to get to their office.
I was making my way to the receptionist when I accidentally bumped into a really good looking guy who seemed to also be in a rush.
"Sorry." I said.
The guy simply flashed a smile and sped off.
"Name please." The girl behind the reception counter said. She was busy typing away to even look up while talking.
"Sabrina Kingsley." I said bitting down my lip. I was nervous, to say the least. I felt my anxiety creeping up.
God this is not the correct place for this right now. I said in my head.
"Third floor room C4. Just slip in this card and the door will open up." She carefully handed me a card with my information on it.
I could feel my heart racing quicker than normal and my hands were becoming sweaty.
I pushed on the elevator button just in time for it to make its ding and open up.
The doors opened up again and i stepped out.
It was now or never.
I slowly started walking and my heels were the only thing that could be heard despite the sound of keyboards clicking.
I felt so out of place. Everyone was dressed appropriately which made me feel very uncomfortable. Some people looked up only to stare at me. Some didn't bother looking up from their screens.
I finally saw C4 and placed my card chip on the door handle. I heard the door unlock and I opened it more only to see that four more people were already seated where the interview was taking place.
The two girls looked up at me and so did the guy who was being interviewed. I immediately recognized him as the guy I had bumped into.
I joined the two other girls by sitting down and noticed that the man in the office looked way older than us. Not so old but he definitely seemed to have a few years in age.
"Jonah Milo please be seated down." He ordered after writing down something on a piece of paper.
The guy I bumped into sat down near me and when I was going to introduce myself my name got called.
"Sabrina Kingsley?" the man said looking around.
I stood up and took a seat in the front chair.
"Hello darling and welcome to Writers Co. This simple interview requires a few questions and of course a copy of one of your best works." He said adjusting his glasses and relaxing back in his chair.
"God how rude. I completely forgot. I'm Harris. Harris DiLuna."
