Ch. 5

Twenty minutes. It's all it took to get to mays house. I could have made it in less than twenty but the traffic on Fridays are a killer. I guess everyone does really like getting out of their work soon to cool off on the weekends.

Shit.

Reminds me I have a book preview due in three weeks. I decided to join a contest against other good writers in the states to win. The best story gets to sell their book all across countries and pretty much becomes a huge hit.

I still haven't written a page.

I arrived to mays somehow. I parked in front of her car. I got out of mine and locked it. I'm always amazed when I come over. Her parents own a marketing company in mexico so yeah she is rich.

I walked forward her door and knocked. After many attempts, no one opened so I decided to turn the door knob around.

To my surprise her door wasn't locked.

Weird.

"May?" I called out looking around her huge house. The walls were a light blue color with the furniture white making it look like a nice home yet so aesthetically pleasing.

I walked a few more steps before entering completely in the living room.

"May?" I called out once again and saw something move from the sofa.

I regret this.

I saw may making out with some guy on the sofa and I honestly had no idea if I should just walk out or interrupt.

I cleared my throat loud enough for them both to hear and once they heard, they both turned around to look at me.

"Holy shi- I um shit." May stood up quickly fixing her hair and the guy stood up too putting his shirt back on.

"I'm sorry. Should I leave or?" I pointed towards the door.

"No no. Jack here was already leaving."

"Jack?" I asked. Oh yeah. The guy.

"Is this Alex or Sarina?" Jack pointed out.

"Its sabrina." I corrected him.

"oh yeah well nice to meet you. I'm jack." He said flashing a smile.

"Nice to meet you too." I smiled back not knowing what else to say.

"Yeah well I was leaving but anyways you should come over to my party tomorrow. It's going to be lots of fun." jack hugged and kissed may before heading out towards the door.

"Call me when you get home." May shouted. Jack gave her a thumbs up and shut the door.

"Jack? Kissing? How Long?" I asked taking a seat down.

"Its been going on for a month. I didn't want to tell anyone just yet. I wanted to surprise you but it looks like you beat me to it." may turned on the TV and plopped down besides me.

"Well I mean I'm Happy for you. You seem really happy with him. Let god not turn him like Brian." I honestly meant it. Brian was a complete douche bag and may was definitely a gem he didn't deserve.

"Yeah well, you really need to come to his party tomorrow." she said with pleading eyes.

"So I can drag your high ass again?" I covered my mouth up realizing she didn't want to touch the subject.

"Ha. Funny. But I'm just saying. You should really go. Jack has hot friends and they might interest you." She smacked my arm while wiggling her eyebrows.

Guys are useless. Most. They give you mixed signals, make you fall, and leave you at the end. I know have learned to use them too. Use them for your satisfaction.

"Yeah well I'll see. I have work to finish anyways."

"Work?? Again? cmon go. If you don't have a fun time, I'll buy you breakfast for the whole week." may said smirking.

the next day

Saturday night was finally here.

I was sitting down in bed surrounded by dresses on the verge of tears. I couldn't decide on what to wear.

I sat there for a few more minutes before I noticed a white box at the end of my closet.

It was my ex's gift for my birthday. I remembered he bought me a gold loose chain dress.

This was it. I mean after all I was going to use it for a good cause.

I took it out from the box and ran back to my mirror slipping it on and checking myself out.

All I needed was my makeup.

I grabbed my makeup bad and applied mascara and enough highlight to make my cheeks pop out.

I was satisfied enough and put on my black heels.

I checked myself one last time before walking out grabbing my phone and leathered jacket on the way out.

"Finally. Damn I was calling you for minutes!" Alex screamed making me jump.

"god you scared me."

"Hurry up and get in. We're late." With that. I followed her orders and got in.

Throughout the whole way we kept complimenting each other saying 'no homo' repeatedly.

"well I think we have arrived." Alex made a turn to park in inside an available spot.

"get out bitch." Without hesitating I got out and waited for Alex to get out too.

I took a look around and saw that from here you could see the beach. I was in awe as the darkness was already taking over the sky.

The music was blasting out loud too I didnt even notice Alex started walking ahead.

As quickly as I could I catched up to her and we headed inside.

May was in the front gate looking around until she saw us.

when she saw us, her mouth fell into a complete 'o'

"You guys look good." She hugged me and high fived Alex since she doesn't like hugs.

"you too may." Alex said slapping her ass.

She was wearing a black tight dress and she had smokey eyes to complete her full look.

We stepped in jacks house and we were soon mobbed my sweating bodies.

A completely drunk guy blocked me from may and Alex making me lose them.

I mentally cursed him and as I tried getting pass him and a couple more people, my heels slipped and I almost fell down.

Someone had grabbed a hold of me.

"Be careful doll." I looked up and was completely shocked.

It was none other than delighted.
