The meeting was meaningless and she was still gone.

A meeting to discuss Katie's plans, her legacy and the funeral in general. All Voltron's allies would be invited to mourn the loss of the Green Paladin. Allura had asked Shiro in private if Katie had ever told him anything about her burial, he had ignored the princess completely and sobbed in his room.

Her funeral was to take place.

There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. It was held in the castle and her body would be eternally preserved in a museum of past paladins. Her name would be engraved in the journey of Voltron. Marked as the youngest paladin of Voltron, the guardian of the forest, the Green Paladin.

She was in a pod, filled with clear liquid that kept her beautiful hair flowing. Her glasses were removed, her outfit was switched to a beautiful white sundress with thin straps. A silver crown wrapped around her cranium that left a singular emerald which hung between her eyebrows. Gifts were left at her feet in her honour.

Allura and Coran spoke for the others. Lance had gone temporarily manic, Shiro drank his sorrows, Keith rambled, and Hunk wailed.

"Wow! A party for Pidge! This is amazing!" Lance had exclaimed, his mind had blocked out the girl's death and they were unsure how long it would last.

"Shut up." Shiro growled, chugging down another glass of 'space liquor'.

"He's right, she's not dead. She's not."

"Shut up, Keith."

"Can you three get along, be respectful. She would have never wanted you to become like this." Hunk paused before adding words to his well-intending comments. "Shiro, you're not acting like yourself."

"Oh, I'm not acting like myself? Lance is denying her death but I'm not acting like myself?"

"You need to calm down-"

"No! I will not 'calm down'! Katie is dead!"

The other three boys saw something in Shiro that terrified them.

Rage.

His mechanical arm glowed a threatening shade of violet, guests around them gasped at his actions. Lance stepped out of his trance. Despite their fear, the paladins glared at at their teammate.

"I get you're grieving, we all are, but this is no place to act stupid. If you loved her as much as we did you will continue to uphold your responsibilities as our leader. Do you understand?" Hunk scolded.

Shiro rolled his eyes, storming off after making his scene. Hunk sighed and answered Allura's distressed questions. Lance wailed, comforted by an awkward Keith, now that he'd broken away from his dream he was able to face the reality. Just as the other paladins, they were all facing the truth.

Katie was dead.
