I toss my keys onto the table of the little motel room I decided to rent for the night. Antonio walks in and shuts the door.
"Mind if I split the cost with you on the room?"
When he sees I'm hesitant, he clarifies.
"I mean, there's two beds and I'm just not willing to buy a whole room for myself tonight."
I weight the pros and cons. He's helping me out here with the whole Julien situation. But he's my ex and a recovering alcoholic.
Yeah. Meeting Julien really whipped him into shape. He's managed to stay away from everything but beer.
"Okay. I get the shower first."
"Thanks."
I shake my head before heading into the bathroom with a fresh set of clothes and my toiletries bag.
I knew I was going to be staying over. I just can't stay at Julien's dorm anymore. I'm too creeped out and mad about the whole situation.
I turn on the water, taking off my clothes and twisting the little lock on the door.
Let's just hope I don't regret sharing the room with Antonio.
