Chapter 7 - Colours

Katherine’s POV

I felt a warm feeling pressed against my back and by instinct I snuggled closer to it, trying to keep warm. My bed sheets smelled differently too. They kind of smelled like that axe. It was weird, but comforting for some reason. I was too sleepy to care why they smelled like that. I started drifting back to sleep when I felt movement on the other side of my bed. My eyes shot open when an arm wrapped around my waist pulling me closer to their body. My mind started rushing from all the possibilities of who it could be. While trying to get out of their arms I had finally realized that I wasn’t in my room and that’s when it hit me, everything that happened last night. How I had too much to drink last night and wondered off for some air, some guy following me, Abaddon, the wolves. Things were still a bit hazy since I was drunk but still they were there.

“Morning.” A sleepy voice said. I turned around in their arms and found a sleepy looking Abaddon staring back at me. I found a smile creep into my face as I took her in; her hair was even more rummaged then usual by the pillow, and she looked so peaceful and innocent just laying there rubbing her eyes slightly. The image of black wolf came back to my head, reminding me she wasn’t as innocent and peaceful as she looks. She opened her eyes and smiled happily at me, only to have it turn into a sad one. I was about to ask her why she looked sad but notice that sometime between my thoughts, I had scooted away from her. She removed the covers from body and quickly got off and headed outside the room. I just watched her leave and come back after I heard water turning on.

She came back into the room with some clothes in hand, “I have the water running for you so you can wash up and here are some clothes for you. They might be a bit big on you but they’ll have to do.” She said as she placed them at the foot of the bed, she started walking out of the room but stopped at the door way, “When you’re done, we’ve got to talk.” When she exited the room I exhaled a breath I didn’t know I was holding till now.

I got out of the bed and made my way to the bathroom right next door. I closed the door and began to remove my clothes. Once I was done I looked at myself in the mirror. My face had red surrounding my cheek and my make-up was smeared from the crying I did. Sighing I decided to quickly shower. I wanted answers and I guess the only way to get them was threw Abaddon. After I got out and changed into the sweats and t-shirt she had given me, I made my way out of the restroom and set my dirty clothes in her room so I could get it later. I sat down on the bed, the nerves getting the best of me. I put my head between my hands and started to think about everything that happened last night. The images of the wolves flashing back at me; how they growled, bared their teeth, how Abaddon was one too and how she killed someone.

Okay Katherine, you can do this. It’s fine. If she wanted to do something she would have don’t it last night, right?

My head shot up as I head the door to the room open and in came the one person that was driving my nerves crazy.

She leaned on the door way, holding a face that held letting expression, “What do you remember about last night?” she asked me, never taking her eyes off of me.

I shifted in my seat, her gaze making me even more nervous, “E-everything…” I look down, my hair blocking my face from her.

“Then you saw me.” she stated plainly, I looked up at her and saw her with a frown on her face. I began to panic. What if she has to get rid of me because I saw too much? What is she going to do to me?
