Okay so this is just a small (and yes I do mean small) side chapter thing concerning Cindy's relationship with John and all that. It kinda cordinates back to chapter 13 or at least the game that was mentioned in that chapter. You don't really hae to go back and re-read the chapter but just know it's at the time of that one so not to cause anymore confusion then I already know I'll cause. Just thought I'd upload SOMETHING until I can finish the next chapter of the story.

Anyways, hope you enjoy it and let me know if more of these small fillers are worth putting up or not.

Cindy’s POV

“So how are things with Mr. Moody?” asks Kelsey while we watched the game. I don’t usually come to these games, well neither of us but he was here so that means so was I and she was nice enough to tag along.

I sigh, already confused in total. I’m not blaming her cause I know it’s not her fault but ever since Abaddon came he’s been a lot more distant then he use to be but back then at least we could still mess around at times, “I don’t know honestly, things have just been crazy lately.” I tell her honestly.

“If I was anyone else I would have told you to just drop him already but I know that when ones in love that’s the hardest thing to do. Just hang in there, he’ll come to his senses soon and realize what he’s missing out on.” she says bumping my shoulder softly.

I just sigh once again and look down to the lower bleachers where John sits with his group of friends. Sometimes it hurts so much that I just want to give up and leave. When did it become so complicated? I start thinking back to when we were kids, and everything was easier…

Flashback

“Cin! Get down or you will get in big trouble.” Yelled John from bellow the tree I had found my way up.

I laughed lightly, giving him a cheesy smile, “Nooo! J come up here with me instead its soo pretty.” I tell him trying to get him up as well but he just stomped his foot down folding his little arms.

“If you fall I won’t catch you.” he says turning around from me. I roll my eyes at him and start making my way to him. I knew he was scared of going up which is why he was trying to get me down. I finally made it down and stood next to him, looking down at his pouting face. He was a little shorter than me but he never let that bring him down.

“Look, see? I’m down now so now would you catch me?” I ask him poking his blushing cheek before he swatted it away.

“I was kidding you know. I’d always catch you Cin.” He tells me turning his blushing face away from me, walking towards the woods.

I stared at him curiously before I went to catch up with him, “Hey where are you going?” I ask him.

“I wanna show you something.” he tells me.

This made a small crease on my eyebrows to form, “If you wanted to show me something you should have told me instead of leaving. What if I was going to go play with my dolls? How you know I’d follow you eh?” I edged him on like I always did.

He turned and smiled at me, “Cause I’d follow you Cin.” He says coolly probably not realizing how cool it made him sound.

I felt my cheeks turn warm as he took my hand in his; “Come on this way.” We didn’t end up going that far off before we came across this big tree. He told me to wait and he when to the tree which had a small hole where he pulled something out of.

He came running back to me sitting down on the dirt, pulling me down with him, “Look.” He says unrolling the drawings out; there were four of them.

They looked like a bunch of lines to me, “What are they?” I asked confused.

“They are marks of soul mates, look see?”  he says pointing out the pairs, “These two are together and these two too. My aunt told me that when each person who has them meet that they’ll know they are soul mates and be together forever.” He says in a smart tone.

“Do you have one?” I ask him, looking him over to see if he did cause that would be so cool.

He shakes his head, “No I don’t have one. Do you?” he asks me, almost as if he was scared I would say yes.

I laugh a bit at him shaking my head, “No silly. If I did I would have told you a long time ago.” I tell him. He sighs in relief confusing my small mind, “Why? Is it bad if I did?”

“No but since you don’t have one just like me then that means I can still marry you when we’re older and we can live in a house together.” He says bluntly causing a small blush to reach my cheeks again. John was so blunt back then.

I didn’t know what to say but I was looking forward to marrying him, “Oh, okay.” I say softly.

“Promise?” he asks pulling his pinky finger out.

I shake my head, agreeing, “Promise.” I tell him before it’s all forgotten and we start playing in the dirt, drawing funny faces. Back when everything was simpler.

End of Flashback.

I smiled softly at the memory. It was things like that, that keep me from leaving, that keep me hopeful that whatever is going on will soon pass and we can live in that house together like we promised. That just because we don’t have the mark of the supposed soul mates have, we can still be together forever and I can one day marry John, my confusing mate.
