Chapter 12 - Percussion Gun
Katherine’s POV
I stared at the clock as I waited for the lunch bell to ring. I was going to talk to Abaddon even if I have to make her. I’ve been trying to catch her attention all day in class but she would just shrug me of or just pretend I didn’t say anything. I know she must be mad but come on! I was jolted out of my thoughts as the bell rang. I quickly gathered my things and made my way out of class fast trying to find Abaddon. On my searched I failed to notice anyone else until someone grabbed my arm suddenly.
“Whow there! What’s the hurry.” said David with a cocky smile on his face.
Abaddon can pull that off a lot better.
Shaking the thought away I turned my attention to David who still hadn’t let go of my arm, “Just looking for someone.” I say regretting saying it the moment it left my lips.
He’s eyebrows creased as he tried to figure out who and I knew what was coming next, “Who? Everyone is in the cafeteria at our table, or at least everyone that matters.” He says in an arrogant tone which itched me, especially since I was trying to find her before she decides to leave but decided to make this as easy as possible.
“It’s someone from my last class who forgot to give me my notes back that I need for a test so I’m looking for them now so if you don’t mind.” I say ripping my arm from his grip, giving him a fake smile and turning hoping he’d leave me alone but no luck.
“Hey then I’ll help you look then.” He said walking a little too close to me, “Besides I think we need a little more alone time don’t you think.” He says while putting his arm around my waist. I let it slide knowing telling him to move was more trouble than it’s worth.
“You don’t have to help me David; I can do it on my own. Besides don’t want you to miss out on lunch seeing how you have practice after school.” I tell him in a sweet voice, seeing if he’ll take the bait.
He suddenly stopped making me come to a halt as well, “I knew you cared about me.” he said while leaning closer, making my back hit the lockers behind me, “I also know that you have a thing for me which doesn’t surprise me.” he said in that arrogant tone as his hands ran down my waist.
That’s where I drew the line. I pulled away from him and turned to face him, “Okay lets get one thing straight right here and now; me and you, will never happen so I would appreciate it if you didn’t go around and touch me like another one of your slanks. Good? Great.” I said no longer holding my sweetly fake tone.
I thought he’d be a bit upset but he held that cocky grin on his face, “You’re all the same so we’ll just see about that.” he said before leaving. I let out a soft sigh as I saw him turn the corner. I tried not to let his words bother me too much as I decided to keep looking.
It was mid lunch already so she had either left or must still be in the cafeteria. I decided to take my chances and go look for her there. As I entered the room full of loud teenagers trying to outdo each other I saw Abaddon at the same table she usually is, with all her friends. As I started making my way towards her I noticed the people from my table waving me over but I just ignored them as I continued on my way. I also notice the stare I was getting from Azrael but ignored it all the same. If I thought about them staring at me I might chicken out and not do it. I reached her table without them noticing until the girl who was talking to Abaddon stopped talking as she noticed me, making the whole table grow silent.
Damn, now I remember why I didn’t want to catch her in the cafeteria.
I started fiddling with the strap of my bag as I became uncomfortable with them staring, “Um…can we talk?” I asked while staring directly at Abaddon who stared at me with a hollow look, showing no reaction to me whatsoever.
