Chapter 6- Blackout

Abaddon’s POV

I lay on my bed, my head buried on under the pillows. I had decided to take a nap as I waited for Cindy to get out of school, go home, and come over to my place. Now I just lay here, too lazy to get up. I hear a knock on the front door a couple of times before I hear it open and close. I don’t worry because I already know who it was, besides, what’s more dangerous than me? Exactly. I listen to their light footing as they make their way to my bedroom and walk in.

“You know, I could have been a robber or something.” I lift my head up slightly to look at Cindy at the door way only to drop it back down.

“What time is it?” I mumble into the pillows.

“It’s 4:36 lazy, get up already.” she says while throwing herself on top of me. I groan slightly, moving her in front of me and hugging her.

“A few more minutes.” I mumble into her hair.

I hear her laugh lightly before adjusting herself, “God you’re soo lazy you know that? But fine, only a few more minutes and then we have to get ready ok?” she states, I just nod my head and get comfortable before drifting off to sleep.

“Abaddon hurry up! We’re like hours late!” I hear Cindy yell at me threw the bathroom door. We had both fallen asleep and didn’t wake up until Abby called Cindy asking if she was ready.

I chuckled at her frustration, “You know, if someone wouldn’t have taken forever in the shower, we wouldn’t be late.” I tell her, knowing it would just tick her off even more.

“No! If SOMEONE had gotten up when I had told them too then we wouldn’t be rushing.” She tells me clearly annoyed. I walk out of the restroom and see her standing with a tight, red off the shoulder dress that went down to her mid-thigh, showing all her curves. She matched it with a pair of open toed red high heels. She had her hair down in waves down her back and her make-up all done and ready.

She raised an eyebrow at me and I just shrugged, “What, just some harmless admiring and you look great by the way.” I tell her.

She just rolled her eyes at me, as smile playing on her lips, “You don’t look to bad yourself” I grinned, I know I looked good. I was wearing my grey AM shirt with the two buttons on the top undone with my stringed picks hanging on my neck to top it off. I wore a pair of faded out denims and my black vans with my hair combed to the side with a little wild edge to it. She saw my grin and groaned a little, “Now that I’ve feed your ego, can we please go?” she asks making her way to the door.

I shake my head and open the door for her, “After you ma’am.”  We hopped into her car and started making our way to Dan’s house. The ride was quiet for the most part; just the sweet sound of the radio playing its tune but it was an uncomfortable silence. I assumed it would go like that the whole ride since it was like that with us, but I guess she had another idea.

“So what happened with Azrael?” she asks me out of the blue. All things that rushed to my mind were unseen by my monotone face I held, I guess you can say I was a pro at that face.

“What do you mean?” I asked her, having some idea of what she meant, but it’s not like she knows…right?

She sighs as she comes to a red light, giving me a quick look, “I know something happened, I mean, she was the one that pulled you out of the cafeteria on Monday. Not to mention all the restrictions she’s put up for you.” she stated in a ‘duh’ voice making me feel even dumber considering the last part confused me.
