Chapter 16 - Fire

Abaddon's POV

I felt a dazed knowing the gang had forgiven me and with so little of a fight. Cindy gave me a nod and smile, approving but at the same time telling me 'you need to explain later'. I just gave her a small nod not really looking foward to the third degree she'll be giving me. Everything is not going how I'd thought they would. I'd been so use to getting the worst of people, so meeting some like them, it really just makes it. Between my half listening, half thinking I started feeling a pair of eyes staring at me but it was different from the usual stares I was getting today. Out of sheer curiosity I looked up and the little giddiness I was feeling before instantly left my body as I saw Azrael making her way over with her cousin, giving me a glare in what I assume is a respond to my painfully confused one.

I hear Katherine sigh as she saw what I was staring at so intensely, "Great." I hear her mumble.

"Abaddon..." says Cindy as she also sees what I do.

I go back to my usual facial expression as they reach the table, "Relax." I mumble to Cindy but everyone else at the table seems to nod in response. I look away from Azrael, turning my head, ignoring her pretty much.

"Oh very mature." I hear her say and if I was looking, I bet I'd see her rolling her eyes, "We need to talk." She says, going back to what I know now is a facade; or, at least what I hoped it was. I know I'm full of contradictions.

I look at her, briefly noticing she looked the same except for her eyes. They looked tired, "I'll pass, so leave"

"I wasn't asking" she says while crossing her arms.

"Neither was I." I counter.

"But I know you'll come anyways." She steals a glance at Katherine and Cindy before her eyes land back on mine, "Wouldn't want things to get out of hand now do we." she says with that knowing smile on her face. I suddenly see Cindy cowering back in her seat. That's when I realized what she was doing.

I felt my anger quickly rise but kept it down, knowing this was not the place for it. Instead I pushed all my power onto Azrael, briefly breaking the control she had over Cindy. Needless to say she was surprises, so was everyone else in the room. The wolf's lowered their heads while the humans just felt a chill down their spine, the kind where the air in the room fills with fear.

"We'll take this elsewhere." I say, not even trying to hide the power in my voice before changing it and standing while turning to the table, "Sorry guys but I'm gonna have to take Cin and beautiful with me for the rest of the day." I tell them while smiling, completely throwing them off with my sudden mood swing.

As I motion for them to stand, Abby is the first to snap out of it, "Abaddon, wha- you don't have to go anywhere with her." She says, her voice rising at the end.

Azrael, who had been surprisingly quiet stepped in, "This has nothing to do with trash like you. I have enough with them" she says, pointing at Cindy and Katherine, "so why don't you mind your own business and go back to spreading your legs" she ended with her signature smirk on her face before she headed for the back door of the cafeteria, ignoring the glares she was getting from the gang. Abby looked up at me before putting her head down in defeat at the mention of the reputation she got from the beginning of her high school years.

I placed a hand on Abby's shoulder, making her look at me again, "I couldn't honestly careless about the past and don't worry I can take care of myself." I say before heading outside with Cindy and Katherine in tow.

Lets see what the princess wants to fuck up now.

Gabrielle's POV

The quiet day sounds were disturbed as I hummed the tune of one of my favorite songs, my legs dangling from the cement wall blocking the bleachers and the field. I was interrupted from my normal routine of what I like to call 'down-time' when a figure appeared behind me, blocking the little light.
