.-Ty's POV-.
Well, I'm glad that Adam's here now. He was sitting in the chair next to me, squeezing my hand harder than I was his. I guess he's nervous. I suppose he has a reason to be, there is a small chance he can loose us both, but we know it won't happen.
I took a glance at him beside me, and his eyes only gave away anxiety. I sighed, lifting my free hand to wipe sweat from my forehead, where it had gathered from the pain I'd been experiencing. It was terrible, but still, I knew I'd live through it. Not exactly sure if Adam was on that same page as me. I sighed, gripping his hand a little tighter and tossing my lover a reassuring smile, speaking for me. He laughed nervously, but leaned over and kissed my forehead gingerly, as if he'd expected it to hurt me or something. I felt my face heat up a bit, indicating I'd surely turned at least pink by now.
"How long is this gonna take? He looks like he's in a lot of pain- I feel bad..." Colleen murmured to Tiff. She sighed and muttered a "I'm not too sure" in response.
It was making me feel bad in a way to have them worrying. I mean, I barely knew them, so how were my problems effecting them? Not to be rude, but, I'm just saying.
This wasn't exactly a fun experience, and I'm not sure how long it had even been. 'Wasn't exactly' is an understatement. It really isn't fun. I think that's actually pretty obvious, though.
I think it was at least four hours before a nurse, looked around in her forties but she was pretty tall, actually came into the room and checked a few things 'hooked up' to me and said I'd dilated ten centimeters and, hell, I had no d idea what the hell she meant by that but apparently it meant that I was 'halfway' through the whole birth thing and that was good.. Even though I wished it was a little farther, and four hours felt like forever. It did to the other five in the room, too, though, and that was vague to me, because everyone was really fidgety and looked tired (minus Adam and I, and for some odd reason Tiffany). I sucked in what had to be my over one-hundredth breath, and glanced hopelessly at Adam. "How long is this gonna take?" I groaned, and he reached over to wipe the forming swear on my forehead, yet again. This was a positively negative experience for everyone (see what I did there guys? I made a pregnancy joke. Yeah. I have no life.~Comet; TBH I LAUGHED ~Tasca) The nurse had also informed me that, horribly, the pain I was experiencing would get even worse once I actually... You know, had to.. "Push," I guess. That was another thumbs down. "Just hang in," Adam insisted, stroking my hair with his free hand.
I sighed. This is just, just great. I currently want this tiny human out of me now. I'm not sure this pain is worth it. Is this the pain speaking? Er- probably. I feel bad for all the mothers out there.
Suddenly, the nurse walked back into the room, and took a look at me. I must've looked pretty 'out of shape,' because she wasted no time. "I'm going to have him start now, okay?" She asked, tapping her chin with the pen in her hand and she set her clipboard (yes and the pen) down on a table (somewhere) nearby (before). Adam nodded, and I groaned in response, head falling back. She just laughed. "Don't worry dear. It's a pain you'll forget," she insisted, smiling at me, and I halfheartedly returned it. Again, not to be rude, I just wanted the damn thing out of me. Come to think of it, now, and I know I shouldn't be thinking of this at the moment, but: Adam still has no job, we don't know the gender of our kid, if there's more than one kid actually coming, nothing. We're basically screwed. I guess we forgot to do a lot. Oh - and that doctor that we saw a week into this? We forgot to go back to him two weeks later. Well shit. (COLLEEN I'M DOING THIS AND GONNA FEEL SO AWKWARD UM- //shot) The nurse then walked around the the other end of.. Well, me, heels clanking against the pale tile, and pulled over a 'seat' (just-). I almost whimpered, but, oh hell no, I sealed my mouth closed, biting my bottom lip. I just couldn't shake the thought of 'this is actually happening right now' away. It was just breathtaking to believe, but, whatever, I guess. She sighed, and looked at Adam expectantly, and I knew exactly what she was 'suggesting.' He raised an eyebrow in confusion, while I let out the whimper. 'He's an idiot... My idiot...' I thought, allowing the grin to slip onto my face (IFYOUGOTTHEREFERENCEILOVEYOU-). The nurse sighed heavily, "If you would so kindly 'strip' your partner here," she insisted in an annoyed tone. Adam's face burned to a deep rose red, Colleen was coughing on her own laugh, Mitch and Jerome were exchanging sly faces, and then there was Tiffany who was now the fidgety one for a change. I just gave him 'the look' and he finally obeyed (not describing that. I guess I'll keep going though ;n;). Once Adam was, I don't know, DONE, I guess, the nurse pried my legs what felt like six feet open, and it wasn't exactly comfortable and that was obviously clear on my face, because she looked up at me, smiled that smile again and said, "Don't worry. In a few minutes, you won't even care." Then she laughed. I wasn't sure to take that in a good or bad way.

I smiled at the bundle of pink blanket in my arms. Adam, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling. "Well, what are you going to name her?" Mitch murmurs. I had thought about this, and I honestly wasn't quite sure- naming a child was kind of a big deal. Adam, however, had another idea. "Skylar." He replied rather quickly. I looked at him. "...Skylar? You want to name your only child after yourself indirectly?" I asked, staring at him. "-
