"Wag mo kong artehan dyan, Laurena," Dad's voice roared. Inalo naman ako ni Mommy.
"Billy, I told you we should talk to her calmly and slowly. Mas lalong masasaktan itong anak natin," Mom softly said.
Tumango-tango naman ako.
"How could I do that? Did you see what your daughter did to the son of Sandejas? Sinabuyan niya ng tubig sa party..." I know my Dad is just holding his temper. One more move, mas lalo lang siyang magagalit.
"I know, but we should know the whole story first before you judge our daughter."
"Kaya tumitigas ang ulo niyan dahil tinotolerate mo," Dad sighed and got up from his chair.
"Saan ka pupunta?" Mom asked.
"Kakausapin ko si Kumpare. Aayusin ko ang gulo na ginawa ng anak mo," Dad said as he closed the door near us. Naghikbi ulit ako pero si Mommy tuloy-tuloy lang ang pag-alo sa akin.
Hindi ko naman gagawin 'yun kung hindi niya ako sinaktan sa mga sinabi niya eh.

"Hey, aren't you going to help me? My luggage is too heavy!" I said, complaining.
He glared at me before taking one of my luggages.
"Ang dami-dami kasing dinala, tapos ngayon magrereklamo ka."
I rolled my eyes at what he said.
"They said you're rich, but why don't I see it?" I asked.
Wala nga kaming bodyguard na kasama eh.
"So you like rich guys?"
"Of course, duh," mahina kong sabi, but I couldn't help rolling my eyes at him.
He suddenly stopped, so I took a few steps backward.
"Sorry, baby. I'm still working to get well enough. Now what you can do is wait. I can't provide you everything you want, only what you need," he grinned.
I pouted in front of him. So Dad was right—he'll discipline me. But why do I feel like this is a punishment? They're rich, just like how I saw him before. Even their names are all over some magazines and news.
"For now, all you need to do is be good and follow me," he patted my head like a little girl.
I want to cry in front of him and act like I'm miserable already. I don't deserve this life. I fucking don't.
