Clary's point of view

I turn around and stare at Jace. For a moment I loose control. I am starring at Jace and I see him start to screech in agony then fall to the floor screaming and screaming for me to stop. For me to stop? Oh shit! I finally realize what I am doing and feel the power stop flowing from my eyes and into him. I ran to his side and he is now panting uncontrollably.
"Jace? Jace?! Jace I am so sorry! By Raziel please tell me you are alright." I cried. I felt tears sting the back of my eyes and a very familiar feeling creep up my stomach. Guilt. It was taking over me completely and all I could think of is how I did this. I hurt him even after I swore I'd never do so. Even though I swore that I would always protect him.
"I-I'm fine. Clary why did you do that?" Jace asked with most of the pain gone from his face, now almost entirely dominated by concern. Clary saw him sit up and relaxed at the reassurance that he was okay.
"It was an accident. I didn't even realize I was doing it until I heard you scream for me to stop." Tears we're streaming freely down her face completely.
"I'm sorry Clary." Jace said.
"Sorry? For what. I am the one that is sorry. Please forgive me I didn't mean to. It's just that I can't ev-"
"The only reason you ran out and lost control is because of what I said. I knew you were struggling and I said it without even noticing what I was saying." He cut her off.
Isabelle ran in at that moment with her whip uncoiled and ready to lash out.
"Are you guys okay? I heard Jace screaming. What happened?!"
Jace stood up and went to Izzy's side.
"It's nothing Iz."
Clary had all types of thoughts whizzing through her mind. She had hurt Jace badly and she couldn't even begin to imagine what she could've done if she hadn't stopped.
Before anyone could say another word she darted out of the greenhouse and to her room. When she got there she packed a change of clothes and headed out.
When she had her stele in hand and was about to draw a portal rune she heard Jace and Izzy call out her name.
"Clary what are you doing" "Clary?" They both said at the same time.
"I've only ever felt this power once before. I wasn't scared of it enough then. I am now."  Clary answered with only guilt and fear present to her face and tone.
"Clary what are you talking about?" Izzy asked with a confused expression since she was still clueless as to what was happening.
"Look Izzy, Jace will explain everything. Something has been happening these last few weeks and I have to put an end to it before it goes too far." She looked down, then whispered:
"If it hasn't already."
"Where do you think you are going?" Jace asked taking a step closer.
"I am going to turn myself in to the Silent Brothers. They found a way to help you when you were being tormented by Lilith. The only reason they couldn't help you was because she got to you before they performed the ritual. Maybe they can find something to explain what has been happening to me." She said with a fake hopeful tone to her voice.
"You think a demon is influencing you?" Jace asked.
"Maybe. Or maybe it's just the evil that I have as I said before."
"And if that is the case" he asked again.
"If that's the case then they have me in their custody to..." Clary couldn't finish her sentence. The thought in her mind was unbearable.
"To What?!" Izzy exclaimed after being quiet for the entire conversation almost.
"To put an end to me. If they have to." Clary didn't look up to their faces as she said that.
She saw Jace take a step closer, probably to stop her but before he had even gotten more then a foot closer to her, she drew the blocking rune in the air. With her powers she could modify it in order to create a wall blocking their path towards her.
She turned away and as she drew the portal rune on the wall of the Institute she could hear Jace and Isabelle screaming and pounding on the 'wall' for her to stop. Alec was by their side now and although he didn't know why, he understood they had to get to Clary so he joined the other two trying to break the barrier.
As Clary stepped through the portal she took one last glance at her friends and felt her stomach clench even more with utter guilt. Their faces were all full of worry and betrayal. She felt her heart break and suddenly she was gone.

Jace's point of view

I kept shouting at her to stop and I tried with all my strength to break through the barrier but I couldn't. Not even with my extra angelic strength. I saw as she took one last look at us and I knew that... at that moment... both our hearts had broken at the exact same time.
I knew that I wouldn't get her back until the Silent Brothers found and took care of the problem and... if they couldn't, then...
... I would never get her back...
at that she was gone and the barrier disappeared. I felt myself falling to the floor as the blocking rune had vanished together with the wall and I let myself fall.
Not even 30 seconds of peace were granted to me before I felt Isabelle and Alec pulling me up and demanding answers. I saw the look of fear on their faces and knew that I couldn't let them in the dark. Even though neither of them had really liked her when she first arrived, she was family to them now. They probably loved her almost as much as I do. And she loves them too, I knew.
I took in a deep breath and began to explain everything that had happened to Clary. I told them about the nightmares, the runes, the evil, what she did to me in the greenhouse, and everything else.
As I finished their faces were no longer only filled of fear but with hurt too.
"How could you two not have told us about any of this?" They both said the same thing at the exact same time.
It's times like this, you know, when they sound same and that you remember they look the same, that you see how alike they are. It's astounding really. Even their eyes, with different colors, have the same expression and emotion to them.
"Look I'm sorry. I only found out a few days ago myself and I knew how C-" his voice broke.
"How she was struggling, so I didn't want to push her. I'm really sorry okay?"
They both realized how he was struggling himself, right now, and decided to let it go.
"Look it's okay Jace." Izzy said.
"Yeah. Look let's just get things ready then meet here so we can all go to the Silent City and see how she... uhh... is down there." Alec put in.
"Yeah alright."
"We all meet down here in 30 minutes then? I still have to explain all this to Simon. He should know and I know he'll want to come too. He was going to ask her to be his parabatai for angel's sake."
"Fine"
They were all gone to do what they had to before they left.

New chapter! Hope y'all liked it!
Please don't forget to vote and comment!
BTW I know that Simon is supposedly so old to have a parabatai BUT if you read shadowhunters academy you know that the time which he was a vampire doesn't count so he still technically is younger then 18.
Thanks for reading!
